  1. Exactly. And thats what bothers me about Pardew, because we had other options than Melias, and he didn't act until the damage was done.
  2. At what stage do you think Pardew should be sacked? If we're in the bottom four in November, December, March, or May? Is one win in ten not good enough? One win in twelve, fifteen or twenty? It's all well and good the moral majority saying "give him time", "progress is being made" etc etc, but there must be a point when everyone would say enough is enough. So what is it?
  3. ****inell my fellow Saints fans p!sss me off sometimes. One win in ten, another lead lost and someone starts a thread congratulating a Bristol side punching way above their weight. If you found someone ****ging your misses would you stand back and admire their technique?
  4. Do you want to pm me your contact details and we can arrange to meet and talk about it? Or is giving it large behind a screen as good as it gets?
  5. One win in ten is not good enough. Fact. Late start to the season was excuse enough for the first 5 games, but not now. Poor substitions all season, unmotivated team, questionable fitness, but talks a great game. A significant/ comfortable win on Saturday v Gillingham or Pardew should be sacked. Fact.
  6. Thats not me. I dribble when i sleep. The pictures of the OB waiting for the wheelchairs to kick off is priceless.
  7. Didn't go so perhaps shouldn't be posting on this thread. But the post match interview on Solent AP stressed several times how good the support was today.
  8. Why the constant threads about renaming the stands. I like the stand names as they are. And if we were to re-name the stands I can think of a dozen names more worthy than Alan Ball.
  9. And I'll be 83!
  10. How about you standing up and being counted in public, so you can be quoted and then put up with faceless no marks popping at you at every opportunity? No didn't think so.
  11. Luker is right. Bloody stupid idea keeping people locked in just on the off chance it might prevent a small handful of people having a pop at another small handful who want to be popped at.
  12. LOL. You're right. Somebody fetch me a cigar.
  13. I'm too ugly for kissing babies.
  14. On one single night in 1940 30,000 (thats thirty-thousand) bombs fell on Southampton. This was the most intense bombing by area of any British city in the second world war, east London, Coventry etc included. The Governement dispatched King George VI to the city as moral was low amongst the populace "due in no small part to the weak political leadership in the City" Nearly 70 years on and nothing changes. Just for once it would be good if those coucillors 'leading' our City got off there backsides and sorted out a worthy bid for the World Cup, a Mermorial for the Spitfire that is a true landmark (ie bigger than the spiniker tower), a worthy attraction that commemorates the worlds most famous ship, Southamptons own Titanic, and then a bloody ice rink which has been promised for 30 years. Don't hold your breath. http://www.southampton.gov.uk/thecou...llors/list.asp
  15. Hold the front page. CHILDREN ALARMED SHOCKER!
  16. It's with the City Council now. So lets put a bit of pressure on those tossers. http://www.southampton.gov.uk/thecouncil/thecouncil/organisation/city-councillors/list.asp
  17. Excellent find
  18. Meridian has a massive Portsmyth bias, not just the football. Somehow those tossers seem to have missed the fact we average bigger gates in the 3rd division than PFC do in the first (sic).
  19. A good performance today. I thought we had the better of the first half, and apart from the first and last 5 minutes they had the better of the second. I would have taken a point before KO so can't complain. Yet another lead taken and not held is a little concerning, as is the fitness of an otherwise excellent Trottmen, who seemed to flag more than most towards the end.
  20. There are plenty of people saying similar things on here, which is fair enough, but nobody seems to be prepared to say how long they would give the new regime before they say enough is enough. Just out of interest, how long do you think we can go without a win before you would say lets rebuild with a different manager? We're at six games without a win, so eight, ten, fifteen, twenty-five? Or are you that 'evangelical' that you would never dare complain?

    Boo Boys

I don't know where this evangelical supporting thing came from. When i was first going to the Dell in the seventies EVERY loss at home would be greeted by boos, and chants of "what a load of rubbish" were not uncommon during particularly dire games. The players expected it and had thick enough skins to take it.

    Boo Boys

I don't think there is anything wrong with booing at the end of the game if what has been seen is crap. Sure, during the game get behind the team but at the end of the game why not let the highly paid players know there 'work' wasn't good enough. If that puts them off they're just a bunch of pansies and we would be better off without them.
  23. Whadya mean??? I#m 43 and would love someone to buy me a Saints duvet.
  24. I would be interested in seeing league tables from the last few years based on the game played over 80 minutes. We would probably still be in the premiership!
  25. 10 years less history than us:D
