The steel works is all in favour of tariffs on steel and aluminium imports, but nor on the stuff it brings in for it's own needs.

Random questions; there is a Raptor rescue based near Blackburn, where they look after and display owls, hawks, and eagles. They were visited by a DEFRA official to check on their bird flu precautions. They were a bit puzzled by the question "Do you get much trouble with porcupines ?"

In a parallel world, every other country is getting together to create a new trade agreement that freezes the US out completely.

Certainly in the 70s. I had to ensure I didn't get lost visiting my granddad who lived on Northbrook Road. I think parts of the area near Six Dials stood in for Belfast in the Southern TV series Spearhead.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cwy73gqq64do ICE admit this man was deported by an "administrative error", they have no documents or evidence to show he has done anything wrong, their lawyers stood up in Court and said his deportation was unjustified, but there in no intention of bringing him back to the US, which is a direct violation of a Court order issued by a Judge the White House is now attacking as a "Marxist" rather than admitting their error. The White House says that because the man is now in El Salvador, the Judge has no jurisdiction to order his return.

A recent study in the US says an increase in ME cases is likely linked to COVID infections.

They really do need a better process for vetting potential candidates; "A Reform UK candidate has been suspended from the party after posts on social media revealed his support for serial sex abuser Jimmy Savile" https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cm2xey4m2ygo

Is thst s penguin suit ?

Oh Wise and Grest One could you explain to we thickos the rationale behind imposing import tariffs on uninhabited islands but not on North Korea or Somalia ?
-
Yes and yes. And so are the fuckwit acolytes he has in his Cabinet. He thinks that tariffs are a solution to a problem, but hasn't a clue as to what they are or how they work.

What Trump has done is nothing to do with 'reciprocal' tariffs. He has looked at trade imbalances and come up with a second grade formula to try to eradicate them. Not for one moment has any actual thought gone into working out how the trading relationships are structured or have come about, hence the lunacy of the Falklands and Lesotho situations, let alone the penguins on Heard and MacDonald Islands. He is totally financially illiterate.

I look forward to seeing how the production of diamonds, currently mined in and imported from Lesotho, is transferred to the US.

Tesco would be dative, and therefore the plural would be Tescis.

So Donnie stopped the war in Gaza ? Tell that to the paramedics and humanitarian workers killed a few days ago.

It's like deja-vu all over again.

MacDonald Island is an active volcano, so presumably you could get quick fried penguin or steamed seal if you time your visit right. #McTasty
-
Heard and MacDonald Islands have got off lightly, the Falklands are subject to a tariff rate of 41%. Presumably, somebody in the US bought a couple of sheepskin rugs, whilst nobody in Port Stanley has bought an iPhone or Tesla.

Councillors have no shame.

This is starting to read like a script for The Thick Of It that was discarded as being too unbelievable.
