This is not an attack on free speech against the press, though it does try to silence the Reform councillors. These reporters can still print whatever they want sbout the council, they will just not be talking directly to Reform members. There are still the opposition councillors to feed them stories, and there are bound to be 'well placed sources' leaking information from members of the majority or officers, and all Council minutes and decisions still have to be released into the public domain. Keeping their nutters out of the spotlight and muting their bleatings is probably in the public interest. An attack on free epeech would be to try to impose an injunction on these news outlets.

The CPS deciding there is less than sufficient evidence to push for a successful prosecution is not the same as stating his innocence.

I am always mildly amused by the attitude of players wanting to leave a relegated club, having been an active part of the squad that got relegated. If some of these "too good tor the Championship" players had put a bit more effort in, maybe their team would not have gone down.

In the early 1990s I was part of a team looking into the technical and financial sides of one Local Authority becoming a Unitary, the premise of which was to save several million pounds. The team's conclusion was that the costs asociated with the changes outweighed the "savings", though not by much. Following this assesment, a second political review was carried out which found, perhaps conveniently, that the first one had underestimated the savings, and the process went ahead. -

Such an astute businessman: ( From a BBC article about Trump's relationship eith the NFL ); "Trump had already attempted to buy the Baltimore Colts, before the NFL franchise relocated to Indianapolis in 1984. He then turned down the chance to buy the Dallas Cowboys for $50m in 1984 and bought the Generals instead for $9m. "I feel sorry for the poor guy who is going to buy the Dallas Cowboys," he told the New York Times. Jerry Jones became the Cowboys' owner in 1989. 'America's Team' won three Super Bowls in the '90s and are now the world's most valuable sports team at $10.1bn (£7.5bn)." The New Jersey Generals were part of the short lived USFL gridiron tournament. Trump led a USFL lawsuit against the NFL, sueing for $1.7Bn. They won part of the case and were awarded..................... $3. The USFL folded a few days later.
