It all depends on what the justification for a change is. I personally think there is scope for revising the tax system to better balance how it is generated, and overall leaving the amount of revenue generated at about the same level, or possibly slightly higher. However, I would not have a problem if, for instance, income tax went up by a penny or two. Why not wait until the IDF have carried out their investigation and reported on the incident before jumping to conclusions ? Or does your preferred narrative not allow that ? If they saw a rifle barrel in a position they assumed was hostile, given the availability of RPG-7 grenades in HAMAS' arsenal, it would be a fair judgement to assume such weapons were also present. It is also possible that in the confusion of live contact an RPG launcher might at a glance be confused with a modern rifle. Either way that is moot, the tank crews detected a threat and eliminated it. Your continued attempts to demonstrate the IDF have a complete sociopathic disregard for the lives and safety of their own side is ludicrous.

EDIT: There would have been intelligence briefings indicating where the line of contact demarked IDF and suspected HAMAS positions. However, in a ruined city with no road signs, and most landmark buildings reduced to rubble, it would be easy for one or other of the IDF units to get disorientated and wander out of position.

How much frontline experience of a shooting war do you have ? Tanks are not suited to urban warfare, there is too much cover close to - a circumstance that has been clear since Stalingrad. If you were a conscript and think you have just seen an RPG launcher within it's effective range what would you do ? Fire first or wait for radio confirmation of whether it was hostile or not ? Don't forget, even these days, military radio comms can be erratic and unreliable.
