  1. If this is the limit of Ministerial standard Tory MPs it doesn't really say much for the rest. However, given that the "Payroll Vote" of Cabinet Ministers, Junior Ministers, Whips, and other Officers is actually capped at 109, there is plenty of room at the trough.
  2. Raab gets Justice Secretary - considering he played a significant role in precipitating the Barristers' industrial action, that should be a welcome appointment.
  3. Don't worry, many of us are subscribed members and waste far more posts on worse rubbish.
  4. We could be on the 5th Education Secretary this year ! So much for stable management.
  5. Depends on whether they are happy to settle with the Brexit we have ended up with whilst the economy continues to tank and the myth of Levelling Up disappears faster than a Russian conscript reaching the front line in Kherson. Project Fear is increasingly being revealed as Project Fact; the situation we are in is not so much "cutting off your nose to spite your face" as voluntary self decapitation. The Red Wall will return because with Brexit being "done" there is nothing the Tories have to offer.
  6. Blair and Brown had an agreement regarding when Blair would step aside for Brown to become leader- Blair didn't stick to it.
  7. He has also backtracked on his description of Sunak being a Socialist.

Some Russian reports saying his oxygen tank might have been filled with nitrogen.

  10. He came second in a 2 way race, having won convincingly with the MPs. Would he have still been second in a 3-way or 4-way run off ? Personally I doubt it.
  11. The Tory members have now had a leader imposed on them that they rejected 7 weeks ago. I expect the angry letters to be flying in to the Mail, Express, and Telegraph.

  13. But that is not specifically unique to Starmer, that situation applies to whoever wins in 2024, as, indeed, it will for Sunak once The King invites him to try to form a Government.
  14. Mega lolz........ Problem is we are all suffering for this shambolic shower of shite.
  15. So he couldn't reach 100 supporters, despite what he claims. Hopefully JRM is now consigned to the back benches until he loses his seat at the next GE.
  16. Alexei formed that opinion the moment we were first linked with signing Mara.

  19. Benevolent Despot - me Permanent Governor of Rockall - Boris Johnson The rest of you will just have to suck it up.
  20. Yes, but your WORK does not involve watching telly, theirs does. ( Unless you are a TV critic ).
  21. Remember, they get paid for watching telly - you don't.
  22. Looks like we have to pin our hopes on Chaz then.
  23. Why is it a massive problem for Starmer specifically ? It's a massive problem for everybody, but it is where we are and it cannot be reversed. The issue for any party seeking to form the next Government is to address the economic ills we are navigating, regardless of the root cause - bemoaning Brexit and angrily pointing fingers at Leave voters won't fix anything.
