  1. Among Donnie's foreign policy triumphs; Iran is now enriching uranium in greater quantities and quality since the US pulled out of the treaty limiting Iran's research, and is close to weapons grade production. North Korea has trebled it's nuclear arsenal in the last 4 years, and has developed missiles thought to be capable of intercontinental travel.
  2. https://www.irishtimes.com/business/hauliers-using-north-to-avoid-state-s-brexit-checks-1.4454808 Businesses moving goods from Britain have struggled to complete the necessary customs documents on Revenue’s new IT systems and lorries have been turned away from Irish-bound ferries at Holyhead in Wales because of incorrect paperwork. Revenue’s temporary relaxation of one customs procedure last week, aimed at getting held-up goods moving again, has resulted in just a small number of lorries getting through, as firms still struggle to cope with new border controls nearly two weeks since Brexit came into effect
  3. Over a week on from the end of the Brexit transition period some hauliers say they have faced long delays. They fear it will get worse before it gets better. "Last week was probably the most difficult week I've had in this job in 20 years," says Pete White, transport manager at Whites Transport Services. "It's been sleepless nights and a lot of stress." "We've had some horror stories of trucks that have had to go back hundreds of miles from where they started because the seal was incorrect, or the paperwork was wrong. "We've had issues when we've been refused entry, but the paperwork is right. "Hauliers may come across different issues as they try to move their goods, but the overarching difficulty is that the system now has inbuilt bureaucracy," says Rod McKenzie, policy director at the Road Haulage Association. "Customs agents are swamped with work and struggling to process people's forms for exports. The volumes are currently down, but some are already finding the system a real strain." https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-55659006

  6. No, it's Jack Stephens the scapegoat, who gets slaughtered before kick off for simply being on the team sheet.
  7. The difference was the 2 keepers - Macca beaten near the post where Schmeicel blocked the ball. Sometimes rather than lambast our team, perhaps we should give some credit to our opponents.
  8. Gotta have a scapegoat.
  9. Macca should not have been beaten at his near post.

    Coronavirus

Given the law of averages they were always likely to get one thing right.

  17. Why was a second-rate pillow salesman going into a top level meeting with Trump and his cronies ?
  18. "Pfizer will temporarily reduce deliveries of its Covid vaccine to the UK and across Europe from next week, according to the Norwegian Institute of Public Health (NIPH)." https://www.cityam.com/pfizer-to-temporarily-reduce-vaccine-deliveries-to-uk-and-eu/ " Supply to the UK, which comes from the same plant, would also see changes, it added. A UK government spokesperson said: “We are in the process of understanding the implications of Pfizer’s announcement today to our plans. However, we continue to plan to hit our target of vaccinating all four priority groups by February 15.”" https://www.ft.com/content/e8177df6-04ae-4d20-8e62-ca76589c7653

    Coronavirus

Nobody is making unsubstantiated claims that the Brazilian government or military manufactured the virus. The use of the 'Chinese virus' meme has to be viewed in the light of where that term originated, and who perpetuates it.

    Coronavirus

How many cases, and subsequent deaths were there with MERS across the UK ? ( 5 cases , 3 deaths, since 2012 ). How much disruption to people's lives was imnposed ? ( None ). The hatred felt towards Chinese peoiple is completely unjustified, and fuelled by the 'Chinese virus' meme, but regardless, some groups of people feel a need to find somebody to blame for the enforced restrictions currently in effect. If MERS had actually caused any level of imposition on people's lives, then no doubt the same demographic would have taken the bait in a similar manner.

  22. So they weren't all bent on murder. It doesn't disguise that somebody tasered him, and somebody tried to get his gun.
  23. I read a Trump apologist has claimed that the crowd he addressed couldn't have been involved in the invasion of the Capitol as there wasn't enough time for them to have walked from the site of his rant across to the Capitol. It is a few yards over a mile to be walked, and there were 50 minutes between Trump leaving his podium and the first Police barrier being crossed.
  24. The similarities with Maidstone keep getting uncovered; https://edition.cnn.com/2021/01/14/politics/police-officers-capitol-riot-hodges-fanone/index.html Then, Fanone, who had just been Tasered several times in the back of the neck, heard something chilling that made him go into survival mode. "Some guys started getting a hold of my gun and they were screaming out, 'Kill him with his own gun,'"
