He's not that smart. Look at some of his other foreign policy moves, such as his attitude towards NATO; they were generally supportive of an isolationist viewpoint, and appealed to his core support. The US has always tended to be this way in it's attitude to the World.

You have become one totally tedious tit.

No, it was opportunistic. Do a bit of background reading. The Taliban and IS are sworn ideologically opposed enemies, both sides execute any of the other side on sight.

IS will not plan international actions in Afghanistan, they are targetting the Taliban directly, as they view them as Apostate. They will get zero support from the Taliban.
  5. Antrim was more fun.

They never went away. There were 2 attacks in Kabul in May, and a suicide bomber attacked a market in Iraq in July. The Afghan intervention was never about IS - they didn't exist when Nato went in.
  7. Given our last performance up there, could he be any worse as an option ?
  8. I would not trust any Government derived statistics that "prove" a Government policy suggestion is a good idea.
  9. Who is trolling ?
  10. Bit touchy. Anything you want to offload ?
  11. Replace the word 'northeners' for 'blacks' or 'arabs' and see where you get. Too many on here post slurs or insults then when challenged claim it was a joke or they had missed off the "smiley winkey thing". ( And yes, somebody might well trawl back through my thousands of posts and find examples of me apparently doing the same ).
  12. Told you 😉
  13. Game over already.
  14. What about the muslim who cuts his hair ? Do you reckon he's a Bosnian ?
  15. When did we last have a player called D'Arcy ? ( If ever ).
  16. London voted remain, and has the highest number of McD's. This link gives the Nandos around the country https://www.rateyournandos.com/restaurants/uk-nandos-map Seems there are plenty for the thick southerners.
  17. So the thick southerers who voted for it don't go to Nandos or McD's ? What is the demographic map information showing the locations of these outlets in relation to the Brexit vote ?
  18. We have a couple of those on our beach. Over time they have completely disappeared beneath the sand.
  19. Flip flops and t-shirts are the usual garb. Mind you, a couple of days ago 2 idiots walked out to a spot called 'the island' off Fleetwood - it is a mussel crusted bank that appears at low tide. Unfortunately for them, the tides have been high and they started out as the tide turned and started coming in. They quickly found that whilst they were had reached the 'high' spot, the tide had passed either side of them and they were then cut off on a shrinking plot that was 3 metres lower than the high water mark. The lifeboat got to them as the sea reached their chins. ( Apparently, according to the lifeboat coxswain, people who are used to holidaying in the Med, which is just about tide-less, are currently taking 'staycations' and are confused when the sea recedes and then comes back in ).

According to the UK press the US has asked our special forces to stop rescue operations in and around Kabul as they are "making the US look bad". We are also bringing out hundreds of Afghan special forces troops that we have trained; they will be further mentored by the SAS and Paras "for future operations".

They defended their local area - which they have successfully done since before the Russians got involved. But that is as far as they realistically can go, they are a local militia not a national movement.

  25. Pilling Sands, the southern coast of Morecambe Bay. If we go out to the shipwreck at low tide we get 2 miles closer to Flookburgh
