Restore Britain ; reopen the coal mines, children lint picking in the mills, build more back-to-back slums, remove the vote from women, mandatory doffing of your cap as your "betters" drive past, fish and chips wrapped in yesterday's newspaper, short back and sides is the only haircut available - unless your head had been shaved because of ringworm, corporal punishment reinstated in schools, bring back the privy at the bottom of the garden.

Great Britain men playing Italy in the curling, first end: GB lying 1 shot up with 6 stones in the house, 2 British and 4 Italian, have the last stone of the end. The skipper could play safe and easily score 1, but gets greedy and tries to get a 2 - ends up removing all the GB stones and leaves the Italians scoring 4. -
My wife's birthday is the 12th so we combine the 2 then, but she accepts she won't get flowers due to the inflated prices ( she prefers plants for the garden anyway, and we have a huge red rose bush in the front garden ).

The Manchester Evening News held a hustings for the candidates for the upcoming by-election: "Making his way into the room last of the five candidates with an earpiece-sporting bodyguard in tow, Reform UK's Matt Goodwin shook hands with his rivals. "Welcome to Manchester," he was told by Labour's Angeliki Stogia."

The stupid thing is, when a Democrat hecomes the next President he/she can just turn things back 180 degrees and reinstate the sane position. Who would have thought that appointing a panel of strongly climate sceptic "experts" to review the evidence would lead to a conclusion that the established position is a "scam"?

The vast majority of boys born to muslim families in the UK will have some variation of that name given to them either as first or second name. If the vast majority of non muslim boys were called Richard the number would be vastly greater. It is just sympthomatic of how names are assigned, generally there are far more "traditional" british names to choose from. -

Isn't a "colonist" somebody who carries out enemas ? -
It isn't the actors, per se, it's the revisionist history that comes with it. Yes a non-white actress can play Jane Seymour or Anne Boleyn, but the accompanying claims that the real historical characters were "people of colour" is what offends. For instance, in the recent drama about the Norman invasion, the Earl of Northumbria was played by a non white actor as part of a "colour blind" approach to casting. This is all well and good, but historical accuracy is thrown out the window. Do you think you could get away with castng Laurence Olivier as Othello these days ?

They don't get complaints, or at least don't understand all the mockery and piss taking that happens in the local language they can't he arsed to learn as they sit in their Little England ghettos. Try being English in rural Wales. -
