People with huge caches of money prefer deregulation and the free market, so promote the causes of like minded politicians. Shocking attitude.

So the Soviet Union never provided support and funding to the extreme left ?

Putin has a messiah complex, he views himself as restoring the Russian Empire to it's former glory. Vladimir Bukovsky, a Russian dissdent, says that Putin sees the collapse of the Soviet Union as a "Geopolitical catastrophe", ( https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/magazine-26769481 ). To that end, this is merely phase 1; https://www.atlanticcouncil.org/blogs/ukrainealert/putins-new-ukraine-essay-reflects-imperial-ambitions/ "Putin ends his lengthy treatise by appearing to suggest that Ukrainian statehood itself ultimately depends on Moscow’s consent, declaring, “I am confident that true sovereignty of Ukraine is possible only in partnership with Russia.” Putin's essay is here; http://en.kremlin.ru/events/president/news/66181 https://news.ucr.edu/articles/2022/03/01/putins-dark-designs-restore-pre-1917-russian-empire

The Starmer Years - Can The New Broom Sweep Clean?

Yes. -
Was the Arsenal player flagged as offside as happened with Archer's goal ? ( I can't remember ).
-
So the logs of attempted Internet access from secondary schools on our network would suggest.

By the same measure, against Brighton, had their shot bounced in off the post rather than away from goal we would have been 2 down, and Downes could easily have been red carded before he was subbed. As has been said above, stupid errors, pissing about in our own area, baffling team sheets, certain players being frozen out, and the manager's in match stubbornness have put us where we are.

He says that he asked questions of lesbian women because he was trying to work out what they did in bed. Any 14 year old boy could have shown him how to access Pornhub, where he might find a plethora of educational videos.

We are going to see Conclave on Tuesday. As my wife says, looking forward to seeing a film for grown ups.

Who is left to go on the bench ?

More grief for the civilian population of Aleppo.

I thought people were complaining that the media had too much of a left-wing bias.

Close to our lineup for our next match.

Regardless, it shouldn't take 5 minutes to decide.

Lol at posters anticipating what others might be posting.

The bigger question is how come cricket, rugby, and even the NFL, get replay technology right when football gets it so wrong ?
-
It's far more serious than that...........
-
Lol at those who didn't understand the rules. Whether the rules are bollox is another matter.
-
Did they ? The replays shown on TV as the decision was being reviewed constantly focussed on Arma. At the time I wondered why, as I thought they would be checking Archer, but it makes sense if it was whether Arma was interfering.

And running through the GK's peripheral vision.
-
Without VAR that is moot. Unfortunately VAR have to look at every aspect, every player possibly involved, and even the notorious 'phases of play bollox. They are not simply asked "I flagged Archer off - was he ?"
-
Without VAR the 'goal' would not have stood as the lino flagged offside.

Nic, the posts above that mockingly quoted you were laughing at your assertion that Biden had permitted the use of ICBMs by Ukraine. This is blatant misinformation, and I have no idea where you picked it up from. Not even Putin would try to use ICBMs, which by definition are INTERCONTINENTAL, as it would automatically trigger US defence systems, regardless of where they were aimed. What Biden has permitted is the use of long range artillery systems, such as ATACMS, fired from Ukraine at targets in Russia. These systems have a maximum range of, at best, a couple of hundred miles, and are being used against Russian C and C centres, ammunition storage, and airfields This may be seen as escalatory, but Russia has been blitzing Ukraine for nearly 4 years with weapons fired from positions that up to now have been safe from Ukrainian retaliation, meaning Ukraine has been fighting with one hand tied behind it's back. Do you believe that Ukraine has the right to defend itself against blatant aggression and terrorism, or not ? Do you believe that Putin is justified in his attempts to destroy civilian power and heating infrastructure as winter approaches ? Do you think that the concentration camp conditions under which Ukrainian POWs are being held are acceptable ? Or should Ukraine have simply rolled over and let Russia occupy it's territory and oppress it's people ?
