The Starmer Years - Can The New Broom Sweep Clean?

Wrong ! ( No surprise ). He was appointed Governor of the Bahamas in 1940 to effectively get him out of the way for the duration. He resigned from the position before the war ended, ( March 16th 1945 ), and returned to Paris. -
Game over before we even go out to bat.

Churchill was so well regarded that he lost the 1945 GE despite having been the PM through most of the war. -

Wet Nelly. To an extent, though you are correct, Starmer is no Churchill - he is not an aristocratic economically illiterate racist who believes in the Darwinian racial superiority of the English. -
Looks like England have blown their chance of reaching the final already, conceding 67-1 in the power play, and Brook dropping a "dolly" to reprieve Sansom on 15.

According to some histories Cyrus died in battle with the Massagetae, a people of Eastern Iran.

BadEnoch says that the UK is "losing the respect of our allies" by not jumping into the unnecessary middle east war alongside the US. She fails to realise that Trump doesn't "respect" us, or any other European country, to start with. She's just blustering in an unfocussed blood lust, hitting out limply as her party disintegrates around her. -

Trump says that "Bad things happen when crazy people have nuclear weapons". Well, on that I agree with him.....Trump, Putin, Kim, all have nuclear weapons.

Who wrote in January 2023 ; "Donald Trump gets my support in 2024 because I know he won't recklessly send Americans to fight overseas." ? J D Vance

Farage and Sultana, two miserable bores who should never be allowed near to Government.
-
Pete Hegseth again showing his limited grasp of the facts; "This is the first sinking by torpedo since WW2". Apart frm the others, such as the General Belgrano and the Indian warship INS Kuhkri.

Superb rebuttal. You have made your point clearly and definitively. Were you captain of your school debating team ?

To which they would offer the promise of Paradise and 40 virgins, tax free.

They produce 20 million barrels of crude oil per day, the price has risen by nearly $10 per barrel since the shooting started, so they are making roughly $200M a day extra, so should be able to afford it.

Bit rich of BadEnoch to attack Starmer over defence spending given the Tories' record on defence budget cuts. How quickly does she think the forces can be expanded and re-equipped ? -
I will need time to think about it. They are not easy to spot.

In the same way facts are missed by Nic ?

Posted earlier on another thread : Charlie Downes, spokesman for Rupert's new party, appeared on GBNews arguing the definition of "Britishness" on a show hosted by Nana Akua; "Unlike all the other parties, from Reform right the way through to the Greens, we do not believe that being British is just defined by having a British passport and believing in a set of abstract corporate style values like democracy and the rule of Law. In our view that is an absolutely ridiculous definition because Britain and the constituent nations that make it up are ancient nations, they are ancient peoples" ( From 8 minutes ) I would love to see him prove that there is nobody from outside these islands in his heritage going back to pre-Roman times
