The EU's trade with the US is worth far more to both sides than ours, we are in a much weaker position when it comes to facing off with the Americans. And whilst some of our protections might be better than the EUs, I worry that one consequence, ( and intention ), of Brexit has always been to start eroding them to make our economy more 'competitive', ( the Singapore Model ).
I'm not refighting the referendum, just saying that a no-deal, WTO terms, dive off the cliff edge, as Wes seems to want, will not deliver any of the unicorn sh1t Leave.UK promised.
If what you want is a reduction in GDP, loss of jobs in agriculture and motor manufacturing, a reduction in workers' and environmental protections, and the UK getting shafted by the good old USofA.

Do the Russian and Swiss bubbles look as if they are less than half the size of the UK one, and the Japanese one a quarter the size, ( which they should be ).
It's all part of maintaining their public profile. Just because 1,000,000 tone deaf musical illiterates like your regurgitated and sample heavy 'music', or 500,000 couch potatoes sit dumbly watching your 'lowest common denominator' and seriously unfunny comedy game show, does not qualify you to be a socially aware mouthpiece and example to be followed.
But in terms of the produce the Russians have embargoed,, what will the UK need, or be willing, to buy over and above what we already do, especially if it competes directly with our own production ?
This would the WTO scenario that is reckoned to reduce GDP by up to 5%, and that industry bodies such as the SMMT say would be 'disastrous' to their international trade ?
How much 'just in time' supply and production do all those other countries operate with the EU ? How much of their fishing grounds are within 2 days sailing of European ports ?
Would that be the Canada deal that took 7 years to negotiate, covers a massive 2 % of EU trade in goods, and as yet has only been ratified by half of the EU member states ?
