Somebody on BBC radio yesterday said that Foreign Secretary, whilst one of the "great offices", really amounts to very little these days. Trade & Industry, Defence, and in the new setup the 'Brexit' jobs, are more important.

How many current MPs were elected with a majority of the votes cast in their constituency ? Hardly democracy. All FPTP is about is the swing voters in the marginal seats, probably no more than half of the total at best - voters in safe seats who do not support the nailed on winner are disenfranchised.
I wonder if by the time we actually leave, likely to be at least 2 and a half years, the gap between leave and remain opinion will naturally have closed due to the current 15 to 17 year olds joining the electoral roll.
