They have said that, but it's probably mainly because they want to limit increases in domestic fuel bills. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-25828181 "We are determined to keep people's energy bills as low as possible and that means having the flexibility to cut emissions in the most cost effective way". -
Plenty here at Bloomfield happy to see the back of him.

Most studies seem to determine that approx 1/3 of WW2 deaths were military, and about 1/2 for WW1, so I would think you're probably correct as most of the list is composed of civil wars and genocide.

Blackburn were sold to Venkys because the Jack Walker Trust that had been set up to fund them until the club 'became self financing' decided that they would stop converting loans into equity. It was the Trust that sold BRFC, the search for a suitor and subsequent sale being handled by Rothschild Bank. "When the Venky's bought Blackburn Rovers in 2011, it was not a football club in free-fall, it was not a football club that was in decline; it was a progressive and steady football club skillfully guided by John Williams and his team." Did anybody else think that during the incident in which he got injured Lovren got trod on ? Watching a replay on the match stream it looked to me that as the Sunderland player got up to regain the ball he took a step back - straight onto Lovren's leg.

In the last 10 seasons the points to finish safe have been 37 37 40 31 35 37 39 35 34. Based on this season so far I would think that 35 would almost certainly be safe - it's perm any 3 from all of the teams below us.

Our long term future is in the Premier League - maybe with a different owner but I can't see why the possibility of a change 'up top' would cause uncertainty for players considering signing for us. -
Good job Artur stayed on.

CORTESE - a personal and factual view of why Ms Liebherr was right.
badgerx16 replied to Fitzhugh Fella's topic in The Saints
KL is perfectly entitled to sell her company if she so wishes. Surely NC would have been better off working through such a situation, helping get the best deal for his 'project', and getting a payoff from the new owners if deemed to be surplus to requirements. ( Assuming the premise of the quote is true ). -

That may be the case, but it could only really work if the club was financially independent of the trust. -

I think the bottom line in this whole affair is that NC ignored the possibility that the person whose money he was spending might want a minor say in where it went. -

How many managers will be considering their options in the summer ? It's crazy how much of a tabloid feeding frenzy can be generated from a non-story. -
How many clubs can be certain that their current manager will still be in post at the start of next season ?
