  1. There's always the old schoolboy humour concerning the Irish couple : Michael Fitzpatrick & Patrick Fitzmichael
  2. Mafeking
  3. What about Dewi Sant ? ( That's St David for the uninitiated ). St George was apparently Syrian, St Andrew was from Galilee.
  4. laughter
  5. I can't stand Pulis and I'm married to a citeh fan - so I am taking to the opposite view to your good self.
  6. Go for the Prince2 as it will open doors and opportunities that otherwise, and needlessly, may not be available. It does provide a useful framework, and makes sure that you keep things organised in your approach to a project. However, as with many other systems and processes, it is "for the guidance of wise men, and the obedience of fools". Is there any element of your current work, or opportunity alongside it, that could be used to give you a start in PM ?
  7. There is a school of thought that says if even I can get PRINCE2 then it proves how easy it must be
  8. For some unknown reason my wife has just put Eurovision on - so at present I'm trying not to listen to the Moldova entry.
  9. Oh well that's me buggered : I work in the Public Sector, in ICT, and I have Prince2. For all that, in my opinion, Prince2, ( if you want it to be ), is the best way I know to slow a project down - "Hold a meeting, the practical alternative to doing work".
  10. And if you didn't see it, or think the picture is a scam, watch it on 4OD - Tuesday's episode.
  11. After fans flew banners over Deepdale last weekend, it appears that a producer on COUNTDOWN is also a Seasider :
  12. Generation X
  13. The way I saw the race in most cases where DRS was used the chasing car was gaining quite quickly anyway, it merely made the final step a bit easier - the loss of aerodynamic efficiency when in 'dirty' air has been the bane of F1 for years and DRS does at least attempt to remedy this. If the cars were evenly matched what would have happened is that the passed car would simply have cruised around behind the other and retaken the place on the next lap in exactly the same way, but that didn't happen. I'm more p1ssed off with the number of pit stops and the speed of degradation of the tyres - and why do they persist with the absolutely bl00dy stupid idea that both compounds have to be used, when one will almost always be completely useless on a particular surface.
  14. Out of interest, what exactly has Southampton council proposed to it's staff as changes to T's&C's & pay due to the budget cuts ?
  15. I have to admit there is a slightly cynical part of me that responds to '"we only want the truth" with "well why not admit you know where she is". As pointed out above, if this was a couple of chavs the Mail, etc, would be ripping them to shreds, but as it's a couple of doctors it is all tears and sympathy. Let them have their grief, but for pity's sake, not 8 ( I think ) pages of today's papers.
  16. I was here first - and Eric did write it
  17. "The Green Fields of France" - Eric Bogle
  18. As my son says : "With Salmond in charge, and Sturgeon as his deputy, there is something fishy going on north of the border".
  19. What a lot of rot. Are you saying that if you do not support either the CONs or Labour your vote should not have any worth ?
  20. robin ( ruddock is an old English name for the robin )
