  1. Get back to the Flat Earth Society forums.
  2. For Dune, seeing as you are such a fond fan of Maggie, and so KEEN on Europe

  4. If they did make a correct decision, I would credit them, but up to now they haven't.

  6. Right, where did I leave the explosives ? I've got a German troop train to derail.
  7. Let's see how 'fair' and equal the cuts are likely to be : ( The source document is in the public domain http://www.collective-responsibility.net/images/uploads/files/MiddlesbroughCouncilStrategicResources.doc ) Edit, can't get the data formatted correctly on here so read the link, suffice to say Surrey loses far less per capita than Teesside.
  8. My first car was a Morris Traveller bought for £75. Once, in a family medical emergency, I was going down the hill from Shap Fell on the M6 and the speedo needle was hard against the stop and the car was still accelerating - took the other drivers by surprise when we hurtled past them.

  11. It's all on the local news pages of the BBC News web site, and has been on the teletext news, so it actually gets worldwide coverage, rather than just being on at 6:00 pm in one localised area.

  17. I don't think the BBC are particularly biased one way or the other, it's just that their relationship with whichever Government is in power is to some extent bound to be coloured by 'he who pays the piper calls the tune', and the politicos feel that as they are technically the paymasters, they are entitled to some influence.
  18. Everything looks left-wing from Dune's standpoint.
  19. vienna
  20. Bridge, you can't go quoting Wiki on here. It's a well known source of Socialist / Marxist lies and propaganda. Now first thing tomorrow morning you must go out and buy the Daily Mail, so that you can understand the concept of unbiased reportage.
  21. The figures are claimed to be flawed in the comments; there is no corroborative evidence, simply conjecture and the presentation of figures to support a particular line of argument/opinion, which may well have been plucked out of thin air. ( That is if you can decode what exactly the comments are saying ).
  22. London ( Pride )
  23. And yet again we come back round to the Police, Fire Brigade, NHS, Armed Forces, Social Care, etc, etc, etc. All of these can be classified as just 'an overhead' ? Mind you, if you start with MPs.....
  24. In the current financial climate, there is no need whatsoever for any public sector worker to be concerned for their jobs. Dune will explain it all to you.
