99% of football fans or pundit experts seem to know **** all so that's reassuring.
-
aye, they've been starved of it for a while now so it's going to be a ****athon.
-
gulp... I fear Liverpool are going to murder us...
-
one of those games. We haven't ****ed it up 1-0 for a while now.
-
Oh lordy how is this guy still posting here? Literally only ever comes out when we are losing a game, at least the other trolls give it a go at being negative even when we win to try and maintain consistency. What a bellend.
-
Why has Clasie's boots only got a backpass setting?
-
hmm watching this im starting to feel a little hungry... Chinese suddenly sounds like a decent plan.
-
slow and predictable. We went through a purple patch where our forwards actually moved a little bit more and our midfielders looked to go forward first than take the easy pass back but last few games we have reverted to type. When you watch nearly all other teams they dont take the extra touch on the ball to make a decision that our players seem too. Very odd, but we were like it last season too.
-
Complacency was always going to happen, players assumed they could coast it.

Lol some truth to it. I'm seriously considering changing my seat of 7 years in Kingsland North Corner for a mid Itchen one just so i get a better look at at some of our bloody home goals. The atmosphere would be the trade off.
-
If you weren't there you don't get to comment on atmosphere. The magic of broadcast recording means that you only hear what the Microphone is pointing at or able to pick up. It has been standard practice to put more mics in front of away sections in stadiums for years and so what you hear on the TV is not what you are really getting in the stadium. How do people not know this yet? As for what gets sung? Even though it isn't true and many other songs were sung, like it or not Pompey songs and our being better than them on and off the field is as much part of our identity and history as OWTS. In fact our Pompey song is about the only song that hasn't got a replica in every single team in the world.

Saints 1 Sunderland 0 - Arsenal away in the quarter-final

Sadio had that effect on defenses, but you are right once Boufal gets up to speed and has better players looking for him he will open up a lot of space. -

bugger Arsenal away is not ideal... Liverpool would have been worse in their current form. We know we can give Arsenal a game they only just beat us last time out against the run of play. -
HOLY CHRIST!
-
lol behave Alpine, you can see what the team is don't make yourself look daft.
-
Yeah I know, which is why I didn't say anything bad about the players or how it's going... yet it does make me appreciate nonetheless. Fairly sure this is Sunderlands to lose.
-
This makes me really appreciate how well we are playing in the league.

There must always be a nominated player to completely exaggerate the weaknesses of and slag off. Redmond was in line but has made it impossible to be the fall guy, JWP,Clasie and Martina by the sounds of it are still in the running. It's an easy game to play you just discount all the good things your target does and heavily focus on the one or two negative but noticeable mistakes made in the game. Then you go on the forum and start a post like this 'Good point but...' and then you launch into an exaggerated tirade and make sweeping predictions of your targets ability deep into the future whilst disregarding opposition or final score.

Very impressive. 3 days ago we were at the San Siro and should have won by outclassing the opposition, today away at Man City under arguably the best manager in the world with a fully fit squad and we frustrated them and held them to a point. Not many teams will be able to do that at this ground in this season. Not only that but we are rotating all of our squad and they are all stepping up and doing a job, sure some of them have strengths and weaknesses that become more obvious in games like this but we got what we wanted and came out with something when many fans were throwing this game before we even left for Italy.
-
Historically we lose this sort of game 3-1. Yes I'm a pessimist and couldn't help saying it.
-
Up to now had a funny feeling we'd win this one... Now i'm sat here praying we don't get battered as I look at lineups.

That's Europe cup games for ya. Our weakness is finishing we all know that, its been done to death. 1 shot on target and one goal by Inter. We brought our game, yes we've been better and more incisive but that's not to say we didn't play well. 1 shot on target and 1 goal, that will happen to us a few more times this season, because the nature of what we have which is great technical players but overall our finishing isn't our strong point. Shame we couldn't capitalise on being the better team but that's the rub when you play the world class teams. Look at English clubs record at San Siro, it isn't an unexpected result but chalk it as a missed opportunity. Mc Queen well impressed, looks like he's been doing it forever, made the right forward moves at the right moments, covered defensively when he needed too. Think Targett needs to be a little concerned. Van Dijk sounds gutted. Hojberg killed himself in first half and should have been replaced earlier but that's just my opinon and i'm obviously nowhere near as qualified as Puel to make that call.
-
Been a great game but you can see our players look knackered now. World class finish the difference. Its all about experience and we gave them a lot of respect in the first half.

It's time

Biabiany concerns me but that's only because his computer game counterpart is traumatically fast.
