So happy to see everyone in Milan having such a great time, whilst I sit here watching webcam on a tea break.

Loving the new Barry Gale inter addition.

There is pressure on them to get win from anywhere, any talk of them throwing this competition is not true. I believe their registration issues last only as long as the group stages (could be wrong), but if so they can play their new players in the knockouts. They have loads of behind the scenes drama and Icardi is likely to start this one even if he has been a **** lately. They are desperate to put their loss to Cagliari behind them and De Boer is going to be under early pressure if he doesn't pull something good out of the bag soon. This game is going to be very tough and will be treated as a must win by them.

Forster Martina Yoshida Fonte McQueen Romeu Højbjerg Ward Prowse Tadić Long Austin Van Dijk, Boufal, Davis, Jay Rod, McCarthy, Jack Stephens, Clasie Is my guess at the starting lineup with Jay Rod, Clasie and Boufal as the anticipated rotation substitutes for Austin, Romeu and Tadic if everything goes to plan by 70 mins.

Check out this video Saint Robbie another SW poster put it up a while back but many may have missed it, it's very good and explains our system in good detail. No outfield player sits in a fixed position, at times Redmond will play 'on the wing', at other times so will Tadic and Charlie. You will also see them dropping deeper into midfield at times for this reason as its all part of the cycles of the formation. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CXWq34XByjc

Van Dijks passing is outrageous (in the good way). At times I felt bad for Burnley, their keeper was fantastic again. Being picky I do sometimes wonder about Fraser he seems very reluctant to come off his line even when an easy cross gets sent in. I think he has a big advantage in having two of the worlds best CB's in front of him. Everyone looked great today.

Yes well we can hardly pretend he isn't an employee, my point is that any attempts to connect the club with any wrongdoing is rubbish. If he had been here a long while doing dodgy **** then fair enough. This simply doesn't rub off on the club as long as it's handled immediately, no matter how much others out there may want it to do so. Let's not get over dramatic about it. It's annoying but that's it.

Surely that was for the last game... Well if he was it goes to show I know **** all, I thought he was utter ****e (for the first time this season).

If Wenger was a name mentioned a lot of Arsenals bizzare transfer policy over the years would make sense, but in reality its probably just that they are **** in the market.

Lol at some 'new' posters coming on here to tell us how absolutely awful it is for the club. I would predict a large amount of Pompey fans will be descending on the board to try and point out their grubby little club isn't quite as bad after all, which is bolocks as they robbed charities after buying a trophy, a little bit different to finding your new translator had his hand in the till at another employer. Black hasn't been at Southampton for more than a few months, yes the media line will be to connect us with him in soundbites, because it sounds better than upsetting other more 'popular' clubs. In truth, Black will be out the door whether its by a firing or 'mutual consent' and ironically we may have to pay the bastard off if there is not enough proof, but we cant be connected to him any longer even if just allegations, our club doesn't operate this way and publicly we should be thanking the telegraph for letting us know the meeting took place. Ralph has done absolutely nothing wrong by his statement but needs to take some action as a priority not wait until we are told what to do.

Martina is, sadly, utter toilet tonight

We are all over the place, playing the occasion and not doing the basics right.

Nice Vid, I would say that is exactly how we setup to play in every detail. Good to see the why of what we see on the pitch and the explanation as to how it works. This explains why on occasion the tip of the diamond is further forward than the two dedicated strikers. If they have both rotated on their flanks it would leave say Dusan looking like he is playing the furthest forward. It likewise explains the amount of careful slinging it around the back we see. Thanks.

Clever move by Puel leaving a solid core behind to rest up for the Leicester game.

Indeed. Anytime I hear the words 'Full Internal Inquiry' I automatically edit it to 'Coverup'.

Really can't understand people who want to blame the journalists. It's as if people actively want the corruption to continue unabated. Just because he is 'nice guy Sam' according to everyone 'in the game' doesn't mean its okay if he is on the take, the bung culture clearly exists yet can't be proved extensively until people come forward, but in a game with so much money that becomes very dangerous. Many 'experts' may have their own agenda to push the idea Sam is being picked on. Being influenced by outside interests is bang out of order in most jobs in the world. Sam had no way of surviving this in reality because in 8 months time when he has some bad results or makes some strange team selections a lot of people were going to turn round call him crooked and blame the FA. In short he shouldn't have done it or anything like it ever, fullstop. If he kept his integrity and was honourable he would still be in the job and everyone would be behind him. The same goes for all the dodgy politicians and scandals surrounding them. The culture of acceptability regarding 'low levels of corruption' like backhanders and bungs is why most countries eventually end up being ****ed in the end, as the levels and amounts become greater and more the norm as more people think 'oh thats okay, X is doing it and so are loads of others I guess thats how it goes', the UK is well on the way down this path, at higher levels see Jeremy Hunt stubbornly breaking up the NHS whilst most of his mates own stakes in private health firms that stand to directly benefit financially. It is so blatant that it just gets accepted. This is part of the reason many people didn't listen to a word the poilticians and media had to say on the Brexit debate. If you want to break the rules, and like a dodgy deal, you run the risk of being the one that gets caught out. It goes with the territory. Maybe we should shed a tear for all the managers who have kept their integrity and not taken extra money in dodgy player deals or coaching on how to break the rules, instead of that greedy ****.

Won't lie I watched our win against Liverpool about 2 more times in full after it happened. Benefit of a **** memory for fine details combined with nostalgia.
-
Well the BBC did a panorama report in 2006 and Allardyce was accused of things then as were others, it doesn't stick and it never will. The truth is the power players and the authorities in the game, know the corruption exists and either accept it or are part of it. My gut feeling has always been that it is far worse than a few backhanders. Referees in the prem make so many 'game-changing mistakes' compared to what we have seen recently in cup and lower league domestic games with supposedly lesser quality refs. I cannot help but think someone, somewhere is making an awful lot of money off of these decisions. Yes i'm cynical verging on paranoid, but I don't think i'm the only one anymore, and it isn't just football, corruption is rife everywhere it seems and an accepted part of society.
-
Now being careful not to accuse anyone of anything but was there not an investigation or allegations made about Neil Warnock some a few years ago. I guess the question is whether it will be about prem managers past or present. If there are 10 current managers in on the backhanders then it is going to get really messy, really quickly.
