Yes, he is absolutely crap, quite possibly the worst referee in the PL, apart from maybe that other one we had recently for the Newcastle match, I think, who was a beginner in the top division and had both sets of fans chanting "you don't know what you're doing." As I said, pub team league standard. Thanks for informing me that he was the actual tw*t that refereed the Watford match last season and missed Decoure's handball goal. That comes as no surprise to me at all. He was therefore responsible for a poor decision along with others, that took us within an inch of getting relegated last season then.

I'm not anti-immigration. I'm anti uncontrolled immigration, as my post suggested. When we are out, even the hopeless May crows that we will be able to choose those immigrants who are able to offer the skill credentials we need. But as it is her saying it, I'll take it with a giant pinch of salt. She didn't cover herself in glory when she was in charge of immigration as one of the longest serving Home Secretaries, and she is even worse as PM.

Roger East is one of the best pub team standard referees out there. Either he doesn't realise that football is a contact sport, or he is not intelligent enough to recognise gamesmanship in players. Debatable whether he is worse than the fourth official though, when the match commentators and replays show that he can't the tell the difference between ball to hand and hand to ball. He probably thought that Leicester deserved to have it chalked off in sympathy for their recent tragedy. But what is the point in VAR if the officials are no more capable of making the correct decision anyway? Ironic that this goal would probably have stood without VAR, whereas the goal scored by Austin against Watford would probably have stood with VAR. Either way, we lose out.

Half time without conceding. Bonus. Bloody boring match. Neither team dominating.
-
Yes, I know. Which is why we need to ask France and Spain now to accept that there is no point in us signing the WA and progressing to the trade negotiations if either of them is going to make a future trade deal dependent on those concessions. Tell them now that we won't allow it and if they don't accept that, we are all wasting out time. But that assumes that May has 1) the balls, 2) the negotiating intelligence, 3) the desire to actually leave the EU as an independent sovereign nation rather than remaining a vassal colony of it.
-
I see that France (or at least Macron) is insisting that any future trade deal the EU is prepared to give us, will be dependent on us granting them access to fishing our territorial waters post Brexit. Ditto Spain is threatening the same if we refuse to negotiate a joint sovereignty with them over Gibraltar. Now is the time to say to both of them that there really is no point in progressing any future trade deal with them if these are preconditions to it. Tell them now that both are not negotiable and if they can't accept that, then both we and they would be wasting our time discussing it any further.

I decided some time ago that it was infantile retaliating against you two, so I desisted. When are you two going to grow up?
-
The single market hasn't changed overmuch, but then when Margaret Thatcher helped introduced it, freedom of movement didn't then imply hordes in the hundreds of thousands of immigrants into the UK from the ex-Soviet Union states who had subsequently joined the EU, did it? Regarding the puerile name calling, you are both equally as childish. And if you are going to persist in your kindergarten name calling, why Bassett Green? If you're not bright enough to figure it out, there is a clue as to my place of residence; it is in my user name. You didn't say how old you are. Judging by the infantile nature of many of your posts, I'm guessing that you have to be a teenager.

Yes, interesting article on that here:- https://brexitcentral.com/parliament-cannot-simply-block-no-deal-claiming-default-option/

There's no need to defend anything about the EU, as we are leaving it because of what it has become, not what it was all those years ago. Margaret Thatcher, it is a pity that there was only one of her. We could do with another younger one of her right now. And you really do yourself no favours with this puerile, infantile name calling. How old are you, as a matter of interest?

Have Fox and Leadsom left the Cabinet? I must have missed it.

Female British Prime Ministers:- Grocer's daughter = best PM in my lifetime. Vicar's daughter = worst PM in my lifetime. Iron Lady v Tinpot Lady

Where was the aggression? You expressed an opinion, I expressed an opinion. We disagreed on some part of it. No need to be so defensive.
-
I agree, Reed isn't good enough.
-
LOL. I was just reminiscing about the good times we had under Adkins. In retrospect, surely the football under him would have been better and more productive than what we were served up by Puel and the Clown.
-
Well, when we're in the Championship next season, we can use him, because Lemina will be snapped up by a top team either here or in Europe.
-
Lemina instead of Reed. And who would be the manager?
-
LOL. I might take Schurrle, Mirtrovic and Sessignon, but none of the others are better over anything we have. Recently I have seldom seen us dominate a team as much as we dominated them for much of the match, so your opinion that the bulk of their team is better than ours is risible. The difference is that they have strikers capable of finishing. Their defence is just as bad as ours and their midfield isn't as good as ours.
-
And Lemina was just so average, wasn't he?
-
Of course, Fulham aren't miles better than us. We outplayed them for much of the match. They might improve now that they have Ranieri managing them, but then so would we when we replace Hughes.
-
I'm afraid that of late I can't be arsed to follow the pre-match threads, so I don't know what the situation is with those players absent today. Is Bertrand injured? Is Ings also still injured? Presumably apart from Bertrand, this is the favoured defence, Stephens and Vestergaard out of favour, as is Romeu in midfield.
-
I have never voted for UKIP in a General Election. I've voted Conservative in every GE and local election since I was 19, so I must really be an ardent UKIPper, mustn't I, sonny?
-
Hughes out. Bloody useless. Outplayed Fulham. Won the midfield , but the defence let us down again and the attack lacked Mitrovic. Lemina pure quality, MOTM by a country mile
-
Bloody typical. We're generally on top for most of the match, go ahead and then can't hold a lead, go behind, and have to score twice to even stand a chance of getting three points. If we lose, then time to get shot of Hughes. Where was Targett for their second? Lemina, Hojbjerg, Armstrong have been good, as has Redmond. Gabbiadini should have made it two for us.
