  1. Haha, pot, kettle, black. You are not big enough to apologise for being wrong. It's not about me spitting my dummy, because, I never said what you still cling onto. I wasn;t spitting the dummy, I was voicing my opinion through booing. So, your arguement, petulance, idiocy, whatever you want to call it, is wrong. If you are to blind to see this, or too much of a little cry baby to admit you were wrong, then, like I said, it's due to the mental age erosion of this forum and you are leading the way my friend. (picks up dummy and climbs back in his pram)
  2. Let's get this right shall we. Saints players are contracted to Southampton FC. Some of them do advertising, some of them have certain image rights (maybe not at this level, but it is possible), but mostly, these players are Southampton FC. In years gone by, clubs have allowed photographers into the ground to take pictures that supplement the reporters write up. However, these phtographs are sold, ie, there is a profit behind it. A reporter is giving an opinion and it is that opinion which is being sold, ie the way they tell it and this is totally legit and should give a less biased view of the game. However, for papers to believe they own the imagary of football is absolute nonsense. They don't! Giving it the freedom of the press rubbish is just them clining onto tradition, a tradition they started and they continue. The photographs taken at a game do not belong to the free press, they either belong to everyone and should not be sold at all and no profit gained, or, they belong to the club, the free press DO NOT own the rights to print photo's of any football player, playing for their team, anywhere. What we have here is someone trying to buck the trend, he obviously has had enough with the wrethced press in general, and who could blame him, the Echo, the bench mark for putrid local reporting, the daily mail of local rags if you like. Then, you have the likes of the Daily Mail, always happy to print anything contreversial just to sell papers, nevermind the truth, if someone reports it, that's enough to be printed. So, how do you fight back, you take away the rights they don't have, the 'goodwill' if you like. And that's exactly what's happened. The press have NO RIGHT to take photo's to sell papers or profit from individual sales of a business, they need permission, without that permission, they don;t have the right. And so, what do they do? The likes of the Mail and the Sun get together and Saints get the most coverage since we won the FA Cup in 1976! I don;t even remember the last time Saints had an average league 1 game photo printed in the paper? The Mail have whipped up the press into a frenzy and labelled it as a removal of freedom, of their god given right to take photo's of anything they so please. And why? Because the echo and the mail have taken the p*ss for so long, the club has reacted and it has reacted in a totally legal fashion. The mail has got it's buddies to jump on this strike against freedom and labelled NC all sorts of names. I mean, I almost accept the name calling on here, but the press have stepped over that mark. Some have mentioned a possible smear campaign against NC due to this. Hang on, for what? Doing something clubs should've done years ago! The press have only got themselves to blame and I support NC in this decision. The echo does not run or own this club, the mail does not run or own this club, the national press do not own this club! I say boycott the Sun and the Mail, I certainly don;t buy the Mail, but the sun occasionally on a Monday, but not anymore. I hate bully boys, I hate the Mail and the sun, this country could do without these gutter press advocates, don;t buy them, they haven't got any pictures anymore anyway!
  3. So, after this abuse and personal attack, even though I never said what these two bully boys say I said, still no apology! I have made mistakes in the past, and am quick to correct myself. Sometimes we mis read things or attribute posts to posters unfairly. But these two guys are taking the biscuit! How many times was Gorky Morris goading me with 'uber fan' taunts? View from the tw*t, believes I have been brainwashed! LOL! And all this based on something I didn't say. Billy big boots come on here, giving it all the mouth they can, but when they're shown up to be nothing more than idiots on a mission, they slink away like all trolling posters, ignoring the fact that as a man, they should step up and make their apologies. This is why this site has lost the plot. Because idiots like these now run the asylum. There is no dignity, no reasoning, no debate. Just abuse and counter abuse. I can;t be bothered with it. Mods, get a grip or you will lose this site to these idiots.
  4. So, please show me in my post where I said that fans, people, whatever, are not allowed to boo? I think you'll find that I was in fact agreeing with you, in that I was booing the booers. Or, are you saying that I am not allowed to boo? Why shouldn;t I? You'll jump at others defence when they boo, but when I do it, you're all over me like a rash, telling me what I can or can;t do! This is exactly why I dumbed down my original post, but obviously it wasn;t far enough. I expect an apology for infringing my right to boo. As for the uber fan, haha, and that coming from the cyber cops!
  5. Again, another one reeled in from the lower mentality age group. Surprised you're so forth coming at demonstrating this, but, then again, maybe I'm not. I could do this all day, but it's just too easy. Any more want to add themselves to the list? It makes understanding your capabilities that much easier if you just sign up here.
  6. Looks like I was spot on with my 'mental age' approach to my post. Thanks DBP, didn't take long
  7. I first joined this forums predocessor because I thought I may find like minded saints fans, ie, those that like, enjoy and appreciate football and are dedicated to supporting saints. How wrong have I been all these years! I boo you lot, intolerable, non-sensical, uneducated in football and rarely loyal BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! You lot are the worst football loving fans of any club BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO If anyone needs to be dropped it's you lot I've never met such a big group of spoilt little babies in all my life, ah didums, did mummy not buy you a win on the first day of the season aaaahhhhhh A forum is where you're supposed to geya broad spectrum of opinions, sadly this site has a narrow minded, saints hating, Cortese ridiculing bunch of whinging ninnies I have my thoughts on todays game, but it's wasted here, maybe you'll understand what I wrote above, it was aimed at your mental age group.
  8. So, I don;t have to pay any tax this year? If HRMC can blow this amount, they won't miss my drop in the ocean. maybe I'll give them a call.
  9. I would love to see Antonio return here and not be on loan. He looked like he was really enjoying his football last season and improved greatly.
  10. IMO, some posters on here are here just for the hell of it. They have great enjoyment in slamming someone and with no proof and little justification. For example, the one or two people on here that claim they know people in the club that are fearful of their jobs for so many reasons, ok, so one or two may have links to people who are disrupting the boat at SMS and are rightly or wrongly under pressure, fine, but a. we don;t know if this is true, b. we don;t know why this may be the case even if it is true, and c. the idiots on this site that jump on these unstantiated 'rumours' and then state them as fact or FACT. So, where does this leave us, it leaves us with a handful, yes a handful of mindless idiots hell bent on bringing this site to its knees because the majority, and an overwhelming one at that, won;t listen to them. Some on here have agenda's with the club. These are 'personal' agenda's and those people are abusing the readership of this forum to fly their flag in the face of a club that we all love. they are putting themselves above the club and above the love of the fans for this club. there are ways and means to communicate your issues, stop using this site for your propeganda and unwanted views. They are your own personal views based on your own personal experiences and cannot or will not share that specific information and therefore you are just rumour mongering. This may be just, but your interests are not mine. And for those of you that spout the 'I'm all right jack' line, again and again, remember this,. this site is for the fans, the supporters, if you have an employment issue, go to an employment tribunal or a lawyer, not here. If you have an issue with something the club has or hasn;t done, specifically about ticketing half the time, go to the club, follow the proceedures, it aint rocket science. Is this a case of I'm alright jack, NO. It's about football, or supposed to be, not a love fest in the community, get a f*c*ing life! If you can;t go to games, that's a shame, I couldn;t go to games for many, many years due to finances of my parents, I didn;t expect ANYONE of YOU to do ANYTHING about it, not having money is my lookout, not yours and quite frankly, if you picked up my mantle for me, I'd tell you to back the f**k off, I don;t need, nor want your interfering, goody toe shoes attitude rubbing itself all over me and using me as a pawn in your own agenda, you patronising pieces of ****. Like I've said before, if you don;t like it, don;t go. Is this patronising, NO, this is your right and your only remedy. I did it when lowe came back, it was my only remedy. He left, I came back. I will continue to go all the time I can afford to, if I can;t I won't. As for those who run to the Echo and then get upset when the club reacts, are you thick or something. get a life, get on with your jobs and support the saints, or stay away!
  11. A little confused here. Let's say that this was contractual, what weekend was set aside for this fixture? I mean, if something is stipulated as contractual and annual, it must set aside the dates? Anyway, it appears as though, due to no firm dates being pencilled in when this contract was drawn up (sloppy, not necessarily on Eastleighs part, but on the contract writers part), then, when Saints had 1 date available, Eastleigh had planned another event at their ground, then what can be done? Well, exactly what was done. An alternative was 'agreed', obvioulsy it was agreed by both parties otherwise saints wouldn;t have turned up just on the off chance they get a game and just by coincidence 1600 people were passing that all fancied to pay to watch saints v Eastleigh. So, even if contractural, a remedy was put in place, agreed by both parties, and this superceeded any underlining contract and was fulfilled by the game going ahead. So, in reflection of the comments in the Echo, this was not against the contractural agreement, as a new agreement was reached. It was agreed by both sides and fulfilled by both sides. I'm not saying Eastleigh are at fault, I'm not saying Saints are at fault, what I'm saying is that circumstances (that I'm not sure any of us fully understand), got in the way and a remedy was found that satisfied both parties. Would a trip down the road in front of 'local' support been morebeneficial than travelling to Sutton for the game? Probably. Would it be in Saints and Eastleighs interest to play each other, yes. Did they? Yes. So, where is the echo in all of this? Did the Echo agree the terms of the contract between the 2 clubs? Probably not. is it therefore a newsworthy act, probably, but in my opinion, not sure it is a legally binding situation and as cut and dry as the Echo make out. Therefore, is the Echo not at fault here for 'not' reporting news to it's local readers that effects the local populace? probably. Does the Echo think that it's audience do not understand warranties and remedies? probably. Are the Echo therefore dumbing down it's readership, that's up to you. Should the news be fair and balanced, yes, if as said earlier it is the right of the 'free press'. But, why would this 'free press' want to alienate a large proportion of it's readership ie, saints fans, in order to misrepresent an action and agreement that has been mutually serviced? I'll let you decide.
  12. Please could you post a copy so that we can all read it. Your insider trading buddies must be able to get their grubby little hands on one. Have you read it? If you have please transcribe it for us exactly as you recall. Or, could it be that a letter was shared, it expressed an opinion and in his absence, was circulated to discuss as it was paramount to the talks they were having? Or, could it be that the FL asked for a letter to be sent and they would discuss it as they all admire NC so? Maybe the FL wrote to NC? Do you have this letter? Maybe an email was sent, do you have this? Do you have private access to all the emails and all the private letters sent to NC and/or the FL? Are you a spy? Basically, you claim a letter was sent and then a representation of ALL 71 chairman + the FL has been expressed, wow, that's some sweeping sentiments, after all, you have no feelings on the matter. Look, this is dull and pointless, has NC done anything wrong, not in my opinion. But then I'm not representing 71 league Chairman, the Football League, ex players, coaching staff, 71 league managers, all of their ex players, coaches and fans. I am one voice, others on here presume to speak on behalf of hundreds of thousands, don't be one of 'those' people. tell you what, I didn;t like the way Lowe did things, so much so, I didn't go. Leading by example is the strongest message. Either go and support or don't and stay at home, free country, free choice.
  13. Watch Skysports today and the managers view of teams in league 1 and the players to watch. Every one of them call Southampton as the one to watch, players such as lambert and Lallana are the key players. lambert is only here because of Ml and Cortese, the reason Lallana hasn't moved on and is becoming a better and better player (12 from midfield last season), is because we don't need to sell him. We are the most talked about club in this league for all the RIGHT reasons. Not one mention of NC, some mentions of ML, but it is all about the team and the football. We have a chance to see the best season since WGS, and some people around here have had their noses put out of joint. I am a Saints supporter and I am proud to be so. I suggest all of those that are struggling with out new found optimism should watch the experts rather than talking to their cut adrift friends of the club and start to wake up and smell the roses! We are a force this season, this is because of ML and NC, nobody else, they did this, they made it posssible to have the likes of AP, Rickie, keeping morgan, Lallana and Kelvin in goal. When Saturday comes along, if you can be bothered to go, listen for the cheers for the team, and the non-barracking of the Chairman. Grow up, get a life and support the Saints (FFS)
  14. Again, delivering comedy value of the highest order! You see, you have a go at people for not backing up what they say, then, when they do, you say you can't even be bothered, pure genius. I also loved the way you deliberately mis-read the ST part by claiming you never said 13k or 14k, absolute comedy timing and ignorance. You've also double dutched the ST issue by claiming it was DBP that said he had a ST, before you were exposed. But that was my confusion, which I was slated for, for suggesting you weren;t going to get one, then claiming DBP said he had one, confirmed by stevegrant and now, as DBP (fully exposed), you or your alter ego do or don;t have one. Like I suggested at the time, maybe you should've got a free under 8's ST with SRS's ST, that way you could accompany yourself with your childish alter ego! Comedy value is uncalculated on this site! Lastly, you got so bored of reading or typing your 150+ responses on 'this' thread that you weren;t going to post anymore, or, not post more than another 150, not sure? And after posting those 150+posts on 'this' thread, you have the comedy genius comment, that you can;t be bothered with the trolls on this site! have you ever thought of a career in stand-up? Is this just your material gathering stage. Send me a flyer, I'll buy a ticket, you are truely a very, very funny man.
  15. I am really starting to enjoy DBP's humour. One minute stating that it is clear from the post that he never said he hadn't spoke to the ticket office, ergo, this means he must have, the next, DBP breaks down how many times NI called said ticket office over the previous 4 weeks. Must've beena good chat you had with NI last night DBP, did he give you any further details? Not saying you;re lying or anything, just that even Stevegrant only knew of this situation 3 weeks ago, and that was in Switzerland, anyhow, I digress, did you speak to NI last night, as you jumped from a deduction to telling us his brekadown of calling patterns for these last 4 weeks. The bit that did make me laugh the most has been how you've gone from saying it's obvious he would've contacted Dave Luker, to he did contact the ticket office manager by phone. Then you've stated how it took you 3 weeks to get a response from some grunt, and yet NI has only been at it for 4 weeks. Then you suggest that you would and should go straight to Dave Luker, only to then comment how Dave Luker passes all complaints onto Cortese/Leighton Mitchell/Club Spokesman now, or is it some grunt. Like I said, you really make me laugh DBP, I have had great fun reading your sarchasm and hypocrisy over these last few weeks. I did love the way you upped your ST sold from 7k to 8k to 10k and then say 13k, or is it 14 k is about the same, brilliant. On those lines, you suggest £400 quid is a lot of money, but is that 400 or 1000? It's about the same, classic! Keep up the good work, only anotherweek and a bit of tedium left, then it's back to cars and women for you. P.S. Not having a dig, but a while back I suggested that you wouldn't be purchasing a ST this season, Stevegrant corrected my mistake and kindly pointed me to your post where you admitted that you bought one. Now you are saying you haven't got one. Not having a dig, and I know you are a very very funny man, so I won;t hold you to it, have you bought one or not? Was it refunded?
  16. Illingsworth is the guy that represents 'all' fans through the popular Saints Trust. Apparently though, this is not the case, he kept quiet when it came down to the protests against Lowe, why? Probably because he still wanted to be on the board. Why? Because he is the most represented saints fan there is. Even though many on here don;t think he represents them, he still turns up on TV and newspapers, representing you, me, everyone. Some say that he is shy and retiring and doesn;t enjoy the limelight, but then, if he represents all of us, why is he so shy at coming forward, in fact, having his arm twisted up behind his back to do this. Then, recently, NI decided to represent you and me, under the guise of the Saints Trust, in 'installments plan gate'. And where as some on here will have you believe that this is why he has been refused a ST, the next steps he took, for me, were the nails in the coffin. He went to the Echo. He went to the echo and made all sorts of claims and representations, on behalf of you and me. the echo reports, again, were apparently done with NI's arm up behind his back and sometimes even being sat in a stress position with a bag on his head and dogs barking at him, whilst a speaker bellowed AC/DC at full blast. Anyway, Cortese, the one you have heard of, has apparently said enough is enough, jump onto bed with my enemy, you become my enemy and banned him from having a ST. And, in doing so, has now agreed with the majority of those that do have an opinion on NI, in that, he does not represent large swathes of saints fans, and in banning him from holding a ST, those that he never represented have now jumped to his defense, rather than the clubs, which they claim to support and are trying to dictate to the club who can and can;t have a ST. Apparently, a club can;t have an opinion, but 3 or 4 fans can dictate terms? Anyway, this is all opinion doused in a large dose of rubbish posted on this thread. IMO, some people have a very serious agenda against Cortese and will stop at nothing until they have unsettled him. They 'want' to butt heads with him, they want to antagonise him, they want to 'expose' him. Why? I believe because they have nothing better to do. In time, I may be proved wrong, but, like Lowe and his cronies, ML and NC deserve time to do things. I never jumped on Lowe in the first few years. I didn;t bemoan him once because he knew more about finances and hockey than football. ML and NC deserve our respect. We should respect them for entering into this tough business and 'saving', yes, 'saving' this club. this is their first full run at things. This is the first full season that they have to do things their way. Yes, people should complain if they are disgruntled, people should debate on forums and in the pub if they feel unhappy, but, going to the echo is a whole different level. For you and me, it would be a pretty extreme event for us to take this action. For many, and I mean many, just not going is action enough, as I did with Lowe. In the end, I didn't want him here, I thought he would get us relegated and placed into administration and I had no faith in him. I was soundly barracked on this site, told I wasn;t a fan, told I wasn;t wanted, told I was a glory hunter and am onl using Lowe as a reason not to buy a League 1 ST. But, Lowe left, I returned and I bought a ST (2 seasons running now) in League 1, as I said I would. IF I had instead gone to the echo and slagged Lowe off, sent email after email and constantly phoned Lowe himself, I would have expected Lowe to ban me, and, this would have been brought on by MYSELF. If I don't agree with something, I say so. I'm no uber fan. I watched painfully as we got relegated from the Prem, I cheered as we painfully reached the play offs under GB. I shouted my gob off when Pearson was here and we survived on the last day of the season, but I couldn;t bring myself to watch the dutch duo and Lowe bring this club to its knees. if you don;t like it, don;t go! I won;t say you;re not a Saints fan. Why? Because I know you are, and, sometimes, the pain is just to much to bear. Come on, we've all been there, but, how many of us went to the echo about it, and, IMO, made things worse. HTH
  17. So, when is Rickie signing for Newcastle?
  18. And............... Here we go again. My God I can;t wait until the 7th rolls around! So, what is it this time? Some bloke doesn;t get a season ticket. Nobody knows why and are all assuming that this bloke has done nothing wrong and that NC has singled him out. Well, why would NC single out someone that has done nothing at all out of a pool of 13000? Are we saying that I would've been refused a ST if my name had been pulled out of the hat? Don;t get that. Stu wrote several letters/emails to the club regarding the payments scheme, has he also been denied his ST? What about the thousands of supposed other complaints about the withdrawal of the installments, have they also been denied a ST? This is silly season, some silly bloke, acted silly, a silly response has been actioned, and now a silly thread has been raised, discusing this silly 'incident' and some silly posters are back on their silly boxes. Personally, I think Saints will have a tough opener against Plymouth, a draw would be a good start to the season, but here's hoping for a win.
  19. Oh well, dig in guys, looks like it's gonna be another marathon. Not long until the 7th comes around. Just to add to the debate though, 70% is great as DBP shouts his mouth off enough that the other 30% (which I think he knows personally), get to hear about it only moments later. Everyone's a winner! Does that end this discussion? Thought not..........
  20. I don;t think this is a 'normal' pre-season. Whereas other managers may be looking for their best 11, due to none of the good players leaving from last season, there's not a lot of room for play. So, we need to try out other possibilities, blood what newbies we have and spread the playing time around so that all get some match fitness. I'm not saying we're being complacent, and we must remember that getting key players injured in pre-season is not going to help at all. So, keep them all fit, get them all playing time and go strong at the beginning of the season when everyone is comfortable in their correct positions and regular partners. Pre-season is exactly what it says on the tin 'pre', which is before the season begins. Not saying this means we will win every game, just think we're looking to peak at the right time, and we all know that that is at christmas time.
  21. What about this to the French national Anthem? too long winded but made me laugh: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZYFxGPkPTyw We love Morgan Schneilderlin, He is the French Man, in our team He is the general in the center He is a master on the ball And he plays with his heart on his sleeve Breaking bones, below the knees Tackling opponents with ease Passes the ball as he please Then he'll break through just to tease MORGAN Schneiderlien, MORGAN Schneiderlien, Morgan, Morgan, Morgan , Schneiderlin MORGAN Schneiderlien
  22. Same here. Lost 2-1 in the same final but 20years ago. Horrible game, really disjointed, somehow 3 people scored goals, our management team couldn;t cope and many players left the next season. bad memories.
  23. Look I know you are basically on a wind up whilst the summer silly season moves on, but, can you please take one stance or another. At the beginning of this, you stated you wouldn;t be able to get a ST, then, you announced you had bought a ST. Then, earlier in this thread, you weren't buying a ST out of principle, even though, based on this post, you had already bought one. Are you confusing yourself with StuRomseySaint? Has SRS also got a ST? Maybe you got a free under 8's one for your ego? Anyway, for all the rest of you that love this silly season escapade, here's some highlights from DBP/SRS: I don't think I have once said that I think the tickets are too expensive The issue is the way the club is deliberately trying to make the purchasing of season tickets as restrictive and awkward as possible to ensure minimal takeup I have no problem paying for success. I for one won't bother getting a ticket until the day, it's cheaper than me booking it online and I know I will be able to get a seat in the Itchen North. And I have the main advantage of being able to look out the window when I wake up and if it's p!ssing down, go back to bed, as well as other reasons not to go like hangover/money/better things to do. You price as expensive as you can to maximise your crowd, then push the add-ons ( programmes, burgers, beers, megastore etc ) when the customer is in your shop ( stadium ) I don't think our prices are unreasonable As someone who was going to get a season ticket on the installment plan and part of a group of 10 lads who were wanting to arrange to go on the pre-season tour, as a direct result of the 'closed doors' policy of SFC now, I have been unable to do either. Don't get me wrong, when the good news starts flowing, the negative people (maybe even me) will be silenced. My manifesto for success ( that's what I am going to call it, catchy eh? ) Women banned from football ( apart from staffing the concourses and serving the lads Balti Pies and Beer ) Children banned from football. Students banned from football. 125th Anniversary Stone Island Kit
  24. Where does this supposed rivalry come from? I know we beat them once in the league cup at the Dell, Colin Clarke scored I believe, and he was one of theirs. But, most of their town is full of university students and retirement homes. It's an ok place for a night out or a day at the seaside, but, rivalry? Why? What have the Bournemouthonians ever given to us? Apart from roads, sewage......
  25. BUT, because we have sold more this season than last, what you are actually saying is that for every ST that didn;t renew, we averaged 1.5 St's from a new pot. And therefore, more people have found out about season tickets this season, than did last season and that was with the advertising and renewals you claimed were imperitive? You're not looking at the figures, you haven't considered the conclusion, and that is, less money spent, more money in, wow, good job NC! (I know you echo my sentiments).
