  1. This morning's Times is listing Lewis Holtby and Vlad Chiriches as targets. Doubt that'll happen if we're refusing to do business on Morgan and Jay
  2. Give it a rest would you. Why would a Telegraph journalist fabricate a story about Bayern Munich looking to buy Artur Boruc?
  3. Good to hear. Let's bin off the Lallana one asap please fellas
  4. Wow, that does sound bad. Why on earth would the academy close!?
  5. I don't know anything about his relationship with colleagues, but you wouldn't bat an eyelid at this piece if it was about another club. Neither would anyone else. It's a perfectly good article, written to inform the average football fan and not Saints obsessives who follow things every day. And even we learnt a few things from it, eg an offer for Hooiveld. You don't get quotes on the record from people at football clubs when it comes to back room dealings.
  6. Erm, he was asked a question and cracked a joke
  7. You can see the half yard that a Premier League defender would have stepped into to close him down but that was still tidy.
  8. 2 or 2.5 million might be his wage for the year
  9. I must say I was hoping for Rojo and it looked like it might have been possible. Suppose this puts an end to that, but it could be worse.
  10. Pleased with this signing. Career's stalled over the last couple of years (which tends to happen when you're young and play for Chelsea) but he's always looked good.
  11. Can I text you in a bit to say we're not being sold? Rupert Lowe is my judo teacher.
  12. You're not joking. Did someone spike my drink?
  13. He's a nice bloke, but you don't do what he did in business without capitalist motives. If she's selling the players and then selling the club then yes, she is tarnishing his legacy.
  14. This article is about three things at once and doesn't deal with any of them properly. It explains our situation worst of all.
  15. A stupid one. Selling players makes other players want to leave. It has to stop somewhere.
  16. He often retweets a selection of fan reactions. When it's among a series of retweets like this I wouldn't give it much thought.
  17. He tweets: "I want to thank FC Southampton, my teammates and Mauricio Pochettino his terrific staff on a great season that we spent together." "To Saints fans:Thank you for the wonderful and great support you gave me during the time playing for the FCSouthampon i will never forget it" It's something, I guess
  18. You can't be suggesting that's the club's fault EDIT: But there you go. Bye Dejan.
  19. We were nowhere near a dreadful-by-their-standards Man Utd in the same way most League One teams were nowhere near a dreadful-by-our-standards Southampton when we got promoted. It's all relative, innit.
  20. You're not wrong. But I think Liverpool want/wanted Lallana and Rodriguez because they are confident that they will improve on last season's performances. I'm sure Lallana will, and Rodriguez will too if he comes back fully fit.
  21. I think we all agreed that it could have been deadly with the right man to replace an aging Lambert, and would only have got better as Rodriguez and Lallana grew into stars. Besides, none of the three would be guaranteed starters, and they would probably only appear together in cup games or after substitutions in the closing minutes of games. This is my biggest worry too. Koeman has experience of keeping Dutch teams competitive while their best players are poached every year, but I'm not sure how sustainable it is in the Premier League.
  22. This isn't the Lazio deal that was agreed and then called off before our name was in the mix?
  23. No you're not
  24. We can only dream! Maybe being a bit of a tit is what it takes to get a move to Liverpool. That would explain Adam and Dejan's changes of heart...
