True, but are they usually told that there are no plans to sell?

Congratulations on existing so long, Calum

First of all, seems to me our training ground will exceed current PL standards. Many clubs our size would have struggled to sign players like Osvaldo and Lovren. Cortese was the guy that sold the club to new signings. Doesn't mean we won't be able to in future, but he did pull off some very impressive deals. It is kind of difficult.

To be fair they were woeful in the first half. We were on top of our game but a half-decent team would have kept some of those chances out. Always the way though, home fans (including us) always expect better. And I think they were the better team second half as well. 'Dominated' might be pushing it but they certainly had all the momentum with them. -
We've proven ourselves capable of beating any team on our day, and we've beaten all of the top 3 besides Arsenal since our return to the PL. Only a dodgy own goal stopped us from beating Arsenal last season as well. Home draws and we've got a chance. We're obviously not favourites, but that's why cups are great.

Hmm, maybe. But his confidence growing forward is starting to grow, and there have been a fair few games where he's been a bigger threat than Shaw. I'd keep him where he is for now, but he might make a capable deputy at centre half yet.

Mauricio Pochettino staying as Southampton manager - Official
DuncanRG replied to Ashley Grute's topic in The Saints
He's got a quote. Those quotes from Cork make for very reassuring reading, pleased that he thinks nobody above the manager should affect the players. Also noted him talking about next season, which suggests that he's not looking to go anywhere. -
I'd be very pleased indeed were he to take the job.

That's what you get when you know our team from highlights, I suppose. He's among the best, but needs competition.

UKIP Councillor Blames Floods On Gay Marriage
DuncanRG replied to View From The Top's topic in The Lounge
It is for this particular fella. It is a little bit different when the madness goes all the way up to the party whip...and every leader before Farage. Our Nigel is trying to make UKIP a serious political party, and he's struggling to flush out these characters. -
Christian Poulsen would make a pretty appalling chairman

Why do people keep saying that our season is over because of a result or an injury? What does that mean? What would 'our season' be if Lovren hadn't got injured today? We're in a healthy position - could climb, could drop. We're still in the cup, and we'll be fighting until the last game to finish as high as we can, same as every team. You'd think supporting a team that traditionally floats in midtable would teach people to make the most of every game. -
What hand has Pochettino got to conceal? At the end of the season he'll look at who owns and runs the club, how the season went in the end, the players he's got, the finance available to him and offers from other clubs before making a decision. A lot of managers will be doing the same.

We've only got 10 days - Arsenal at home is on the Tuesday night. -
I thought he was good in the first half. When we're given the run of the park he does very well, it just seems that he's struggling to find space and time now. I don't think disinterested is the word, more frustrated. Can't blame him! He's still popping up with important goals but he's not been the right man for us this season.

That's about it. Glad we'll have Osvaldo back for the next league game as it looks like Ramirez is going to be out for a while. Would warmly welcome a new attacking signing but in the circumstances I'm not sure we can expect that. Becomes imperative if Lambert leaves. -
Dangerous play is a free kick regardless of whether the challenger gets the ball.

Are we not playing any more games? That's a shame, I'd booked travel. What's a good day out in Hull? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
