We've all got hopes for the cup this season, but it's been a pretty great season so far even if we go out next weekend.
-
Can no longer go due to work commitments. £10, block P34 row 10. Let me know!
-
It may not all be true but it certainly doesn't speculate. Shame on Laudrup if any of this is true. You'd hope that the bigger clubs he aspires to manage would look at that attitude and decide against employing him...but that's unlikely.
-
Good news for us but a terrible decision.
-
Strange one, that.

I'd absolutely love to play in Europe if we could cope with it. The worry is that, as has been the case with many teams in the last few years, we wouldn't be able to and it would completely derail our league campaign. I really don't think we'd handle the Europa League without at least 6 or 7 more players we could field with complete confidence.

It speaks volumes about the quality of our young players that people feel like they can criticise someone who's achieved what James Ward-Prowse has.
-
In fairness to him, reporters don't write headlines.

And here was me thinking they were one of the more sensibly-run clubs. Of course, this might well have been the right decision in the circumstances. Something hasn't been right there for a while.

He's so well spoken for a footballer.

Agreed. Third best English player this season, behind Rooney and Sturridge. With Walcott injured I'm not sure how you could justify keeping him on the bench. To be fair, if I were a fan of a club like that I'd want to see more than one good season (though it has been a great season) before going in and paying enormous money for an English player. If he'd gone there in January he would be a squad player initially, but play like he has this season and he'd probably force his way in there ahead of Januzaj.

What Swansea being top does prove is that possession doesn't mean much on its own. Still, very pleasing. We've got a better forward line and infinitely better defence than they do.

Lallana is a cert, Rodriguez has a shout if he keeps this form til the end of the season. I think the return of Carroll rules Lambert out, and Clyne only had an outside chance even when he was playing every week. Just the two of them for me. We're kidding ourselves if we think there's any chance of JWP or Chambers going. The real question is how many players we're going to have in for the 2018 World Cup if we continue on this path. Could be 5 or 6!

Is that the first time we've sung 'One Pochettino'? Jay!!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Did a steward celebrate then? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

What the bloody 'eck was Lambert doing then? First time in weeks he's had that kind of chance, the kind he's fed on for years, and he knocked it down instead of going for goal. Deary me Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Come on Jay, one of these. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Wanyama was on the bench against arsenal. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Good turn and shot from Chambers on the right, not too far wide Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Fulham are getting easy chances on the break here. Wanyama's excellent on the ball but the team's not quite synchronised in its covering movement. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Wanyama's influence showing already though. He sails into positions that Cork has to battle and harry to get himself to. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

You're all rating Shaw too highly. He wouldn't start every week for City, Chelsea, Arsenal, Everton or United. Would probably play at Liverpool but only because left back's a problem area for them. Those clubs have good teams with big competition, and they rotate enough as it is. A £20-30m transfer fee would be an investment in the future. If he goes to a big club now he'll be a regular in the team within a couple of years, but he won't go in instantly.
-
Someone will always take a chance on a player like that. Hey, we did and there are plenty of clubs out there who are a lot less sensible with their transfers.
-
It's a shame to see the back of him, at the end of it all he was a good player and scored some really important goals. It was clear that Pochettino didn't value him as highly as Adkins, though.
