I see the cost is actually £26 as there is a £1 Cortese tax added on.

If we sell 10,000 memberships, it'll rake in £250,000. What's that? About 4 weeks wages of an average PL player? Hardly worth the effort really.

Elia has played in a WC final. Gallagher will end up with a career akin to Matt Paterson. HTH. -

Has there been a sighting of Djuricic yet? I'm not sure he exists, his brief cameos were just an Academy player in a mask..... -

Is Reed now banned for Saturday? -
Surely the reason he was let go was fairly obvious in that he was replaced by Souness who was viewed as a bigger name who could attract better players and do better in the job. (tho in reality he didn't really).

Have the BBC got this wrong about Europa League qualification?
once_bitterne replied to niceandfriendly's topic in The Saints
So amongst all this we still seem to have one remaining question with no definitive answer. If the Cup final is Liverpool v Reading, and Liverpool win but have already qualified for the EL via the League does the additional EL place go to whoever finishes 7th in the PL or Reading? -

It was his post that caused most of the confusion as it implied there was a situation whereby the Cup runner-up could still qualify for a place in the EL which I do not believe to be the case. -

The whole point is that the various countries requested that the domestic cup runner doesn't get a EL spot, and that spot instead will go via the League. Surely, in order to fulfil the spirit of this request, it's immaterial if the Cup winner is qualifying for the CL or the EL, even if the wording doesn't specifically say that? -

Are people still saying that, if the Final is Liverpool v Reading and Liverpool win and finish in 5th place, that the EL place would go to Reading? (which I'm pretty sure it wouldn't). -
Funniest moment was Alan Bennett's debut against Palace when he looked genuinely astonished that a football could bounce (over his head).

Well I've read some ******** on here..... You do realise one of the main reasons Man U will get paid £75m every season for wearing Adidas shirts and £50m for having Chevrolet on the front of them is due to the strength of their support abroad? While we will never be anything like as big as Man U abroad it's moronic to think 'the yanks won't support us or buy our kits'. The US started a massive new tv deal with NBC this season bringing the sport to millions of viewers who had not watched the game before and who are looking for team to support and guess what.... we've been doing pretty well this season and those who want to be a bit different to just supporting Man U or Chelsea would see us as a good option. On another Saints forum I post on we have already had several new US fans find the place and start posting. Funnily one has already ordered both home and away kits from the website and took a trip over here to see us play for the 1st time against Swansea, QPR and West Ham. It's absurdly insular to think that this is 'our' game and that people from other countries won't become our fans. If we really want to compete with the big boys in these days of FFP then strengthening our foreign fanbase will be very important indeed...
