  1. Seems to tally with what Guan said about the ice hockey coach being 'scaled back'. (hopefully right back to Canada....)
  2. Did he laugh at Les's Tommy Cooper impression?
  3. The problem with that is he's not Shaw's age. If he doesn't move to a 'big' club now he never will.
  4. Sorry, I only know someone who has spoken to Fonte so can't help you re: Lovren. HTH.
  5. Fonte and Cork very much both want to stay and would have both signed new contracts if Ralph had been a rsed to offer them to them. Both are a bit f'ked off at the club for this not happening. Hopefully RK will rectify this situation very promptly.
  6. Appalling lack of commitment to the players by the club more like......
  7. Difference being that AL is already 26.
  8. I hope not.
  9. Do you have the sort codes for those?
  10. Koeman's odds are now the longest they have been since the job has been available I think.
  11. This has now been confirmed. MS is part of the France squad.

  13. Following the World Cup Final, BVB head for a trio of matches games in England away to Hull City, Southampton*, and Everton over a seven-day period *19-July-2014
  14. And the Ajax wins were over a decade ago and the year he won a Cup at Valencia they were near the bottom of the league. He seems to specialise in doing one season per club and is pretty much a journeyman manager who was deemed by Swansea to be an inferior option to Garry Monk and by West Ham to be worse than Fat Sam. Still he has applied for every PL job he thinks he has a sniff at so is the easy option for hiring by our failed ice hockey head coach chairman.
  15. Cost-cutting that bad??
  16. Surely work on this should be pretty much done? Esp if we are having any 'big' names at SMS? I assume Ralph will be getting another quick win in to prevent the natives getting restless by bringing back the Ted Bates trophy?
  17. Same as every other PL club.
  18. Can you point me in the direction of any information about this MALI that is meant to exist? It appears pretty much invisible to Google. (if you type it in the first result you get is a thread about it on this forum....)
  19. MALI has been wound up hasn't it? (seems all of Kat's companies go this way...)
  20. We've gone from one of best run PL clubs to a shambles in a few months. If Kat felt she needed to sack Cortese, replacing him with an experienced football CEO (Purslow or Williams) was a must. Giving the roles to a former Ice Hockey coach with no experience of running any sports organisation and an accountant was never going to end well was it?

  22. Well our owner is worth 3 times as much as Liverpool's so why not give it a try?
  23. I know exactly where we are going. If things go well, 17th.
  24. This was always going to be a very difficult Summer for the club as our manager and top players are all being coveted by other clubs. Is our Chairman qualified to be dealing with this? I have my doubts. I can't see any way that a former Ice Hockey head coach has the first idea about what he is meant to be doing here. Krueger readily admits he knows little about football and, when he got involved with the club believed it to be from a motivation\sports science point of view (which he is qualified to do) and did not have any intention of becoming Chairman. He's going to be eaten alive by the likes of Daniel Levy and co. I genuinely believe that he sits behind his desk and doesn't have to first idea about what tasks he should be doing. (which is probably why is happy to spend hours speaking to the Red Jacketed Militant or days going on bike rides giving leg rubs to fans.) What makes it worse is that his boss also doesn't have the first idea about running a football club either. It's a huge gamble to have someone with no experience of either being a chairman of a large organisation or football in general running a PL club. Yes our former Chairman came from a banking background but it was far easier to learn the ropes with a club our size being a huge fish in L1. If you take the main tasks that should have been completed since they took over I would say they were: New Contract for MP New Contract for Cork Improved deals for the 4 England players Communicate the plans for the future of the club to the fans, and more importantly the players. Now, not all of these would be possible but they haven't done any of them. There is the perception in the press that we are a rudderless ship at present a feeling that is certainly filtering down to the players which makes it all the more likely they will leave. I can't help thinking that having a hard-nosed person like Purslow at the helm would be a lot better than the jolly Canadian from the NHL.
  25. Yeah, get rid of those incompetent buffoons who signed the players that took us from the foot of L1 to 8th in the PL. Don't let the door hit you on the a rse on the way out boys!
