because I do not think he is given the few 'young' fullbacks in the league (there are not many) but I think this is a great move by the club still that is not denigrating him or the club. Just giving my opinion that he is a decent player with a fair bit of potential. Not that long ago, JwP was supposed to be the next big thing..not quite working out like that (yet)

the Club clearly should be applauded for their stance with VvD. I still hope he will be here come 1st Sep and come to accept he will stay for the season. That does not in any way excuse NOT bringing in a starting standard CB to partner him and a DM to play next to Romeu. unacceptable really given the guff Les and the club make about our transfer dealings

I agree. We clearly do not need a striker. I think Gabbiadini is class and Austin is good for his share. We clearly need (and have for a year) a starting standard DM and probably the same for a CB (two if VvD never plays for us again)

surely, if there was a case of tapping up an actual investigation will have taken place. the 'apology' is yesterday's news. No one cares and certainly not Liverpool. fair play for Saints for trying to stand firm but it appears it will be for nothing, sadly
