we could not play 4231 at all before Gabbiadini came in. But we could shoe-horn these players into a diamond righto we also started the season with Austin on the bench. when he did force a starting place, he started to score the goals (and is still our top scorer) despite spending decent amounts of a game wide left

we are well versed in the art of managing players out of the club.

so, tell us why we could not play 4231 earlier this season but we could play the diamond?

it helps that Puel has asked Gabbiadini to play as more of an out-and-out striker. and not hand left wing with redmond as CF like Austin had to do earlier this season for what ever reason, we are now using a system that the club/team/players know and playing players available in their right positions with a bit of tempo.......good to see
