I slightly object to being termed as a swivel eyed loon and will in reality make up my mind based on economics but the reasons why I lean towards Brexit can be summarised as follows and would be delighted to have my mind put at ease. 1 The EU is profoundly undemocratic and the parliament is now made up of 30% or so of eccentric politicians who were elected on a 'protest vote' or bureaucrats who were not elected at all 2 The freedom of movement, which I agree with in principle, is fundamentally flawed. You cannot have such a significant minimum wage variance across a single market and not expect a surge in migration to more affluent countries. As we have discovered this mass migration has significant implications, for schooling, health care and wage deflation at the lower end. I would like to see us determine who comes in and how many. We could have been in a much better situation to help the Syrian refugees if we controlled our borders 3 I think that parts of Southern Europe are heading for a massive financial crisis which will have considerable repercussions for the rest of Europe. We will inevitably be affected even if we leave, but our obligations will not be so great if we are 'out' 4 Europe generally is stagnant at best economically and we would be better served developing other expanding world markets. European exports have now fallen below 50% of our overall exports. As we are Germany's biggest export markets I am confident that they will ensure a favourable deal 5 I don't feel European

Gaston will get a good run of games and will be part of a Boro promotion team that will give him the momentum and confidence to play in the premier league with Boro. He will be a success. Sadly not with us though!

If Boris opts to lead the out vote then we are probably in for a very close call. I think you can expect the same pattern as the Scottish referendum; polls that show the leave camp artificially inflated and then a shift back to stay in the polling booth as people vote with their heads and not their hearts. If the leave camp are in the lead in the polls then this will surely spook the EU into making more concessions just like in the Scottish referendum.
-
Well I would expect a narrow call but in the great tradition of EU democracy if we vote to leave then there will immediately be a new package put together and we would be given another referendum when we vote to stay in.

Great read as ever. -
Pelle is good enough to get in the Italian side, he appears to be passionate and a good player for the dressing room. No he is not Messi but he does score 10-15 goals in the premier league. If he did score any more then we would have sold him. We are Saints; we need players who score 10-15 goals in the premier league or somebody will come in for them. That sadly is life. Get behind the players not run them down.

Yes lets give the channel islands to the French. Le Tissier has got a 'Le' in it lets give him to them as well!
-
You are probably right and if Thatcher had struck a deal a few thousand islanders would have been outraged but as we went to war over it, now most of a nation would be outraged. The point I am making is that defending the right to self determination prevents refugees and is a very important principle.
-
Your compassion for refugees should be commended but the Syrian and Iraqi refugees are fleeing because they do not want to be governed under a different flag due to the treatment they will or have been receiving. What is the difference between them and the Falkland islanders? In fact you grumble about Colonialism but there was no indigenous population when we arrived. The current population are the closest you will get to an indigenous population the Islands have ever had yet bizarrely you are advocating Argentinian colonisation.
-
I think that is a good response but Rockall is not inhabitable so the boat full of Danes could not inhabit it and then have a referendum. So you would have to revert to the nearest habitable island and the point still stands.

The Scottish islands are not two hundred miles away.

What should your HR be? How did you know you were liable to a heart attack?

I think the concept of a private eye styled Southampton fanzine could work. If it was based on micky taking bizarre interviews with past and former players and good cartoons. What you would want to avoid is opinions on the team and tactics because they are two a penny. You also only need just a few pages - today people want an instant hit. Sadly what fanzines starting out need is a crisis. Humour is the key. I always remember the Ugly Inside's Sergei Ggotsmanov the man with a thousand names; Sellhimov, Subhimov etc etc

We have had extraordinary levels of rain and then a cold snap you have the perfect storm. Our ground staff are the best in the country

Ii was thinking about Stephen. Kelvin will end up on the coaching staff. Very popular I would imagine.

I rate Davis and I would argue he is more valuable in the dressing room than on the pitch
