  1. The problem for us is that Koeman will not sign a new contract. He is a gentleman and tells us that he will honour is current agreement but the players are not stupid and know that he is on his way out in the next 18 months. You cannot gain momentum or build spirit in these conditions. When Strachan announced he would leave at the end of the season he ended up having to go sooner because everyone gave up. My suspicion is that this is once again an issue. The remedy is quite straight forward; get Koeman to sign a new contract and the whole club would get a lift. He can then behave like all of the others and leave if someone comes in for him mid-contract.
  2. 2/10 - we are 12th in the league!
  3. Long is very likeable and I would imagine a great positive in the dressing room, particularly if there is a sing along. As a footballer I certainly am always pleased when he comes on. He gives us something else.
  4. He is learning his trade. He will grow into an outstanding footballer.
  5. Will be a Saints legend one day.
  6. They believe that we are all infidels and that life on earth is only temporary until they reach paradise. I am afraid there is no room for compromise.
  7. He would have a real point to prove if he went somewhere else. Might be the making of him.
  8. Very sad. I didn't know him but recognise him from years of following Saints. A true Saint.
  9. We should take him back FF. They really rated him and should nurture him. Maybe cherry pick the right place for hi to go.
  10. The relay was great
  11. That is a far more meaningful statistic and very encouraging!
  12. Make a donation to a charity of your choice and I will take the £1 bet; and demonstrate you have done it. The question is about value. For me Bournemouth is good value at 2/1 when I think they should be 5/6. Chelsea is not good value even at 1050 to 1.
  13. Yup me too in fact I will give you 1050:1
  14. Ladbrokes and a few other sites I think. I would add that I quite like Bournemouth!
  15. I have made a chunky investment on Bournemouth to get relegated. I got 2/1 and it was too attractive with a team that is 4th from bottom and has just lost their top scorer to injury. They are 12/1 to finish bottom. Was this foolhardy or a good piece of business?
  16. How is he getting on at MK Dons?
  17. Good reply. Many of us will now follow Feyenoord due to Koeman connections but there is not the euphoria when they win.
  18. He is a young player who if people will get off his case will develop into a very good player for Saints in time.
  19. Nothing like a good old fashioned Stalinist purge!
  20. Read the comments sections. Most people thought 'good' we are finally doing something about these barbaric throwbacks. We have moved on in fifty years. I am sorry that you equate fifties Britain justice with justice in today's ISIS state. Maybe you could go and talk to them, I am sure they will warm to your offer of compromise.
  21. Well the Sun spoke for me. I expect they also spoke for the thousands of desperate Syrian and Iraqi refugees forced to abandon the land they have lived in for centuries, and who have witnessed friends and families butchered or daughters taken off to be sold as sex slaves. They probably spoke for British Jews who can no longer walk the streets safely of parts of our country because of a modern day intolerance that has its place in a different century. I would assume they spoke for the gay community who must look on with horror at seeing homosexuals thrown from the top of buildings simply because they are gay. I would think they also spoke for the overwhelming majority of ordinary British Muslims that simply want to live in harmony without the uncertainty and fear of association with these medieval barbarians in the name of their fine religion. The Sun said what most people were thinking.
  22. It is just football. I would have him back because he is not likely to leave again and could become a Southampton stalwart in the dressing room as he once was.
  23. You don't think that is a lot of players to bed in?
  24. It is scandalous; I went to pick up my winnings at the end of the game only to discover that the bookmaker had left at half time. The club endorsed a bookmaker that leaves when it is due to pay out its winnings!
  25. Ethically when you pay your players up to £60,000 a week it is morally questionable to be paying some of your workforce £7.50 an hour. I am sure the club will recognise that and address it. As someone pointed out - this will probably add less than 1% to the total wage bill. I think it compromises the values of the club. I don't support a corporation I support my local football club.
