  1. Keynes speaks.
  2. Err no I think you may need to reread the context of the reply. I love how you simplify the 'failed experiment' of communism. Millions were murdered, starved or imprisioned over a period of sventy or so years.
  3. Sadly it is how life works. People tug their forelock to anybody with money. Obviously that includes poeople who have inherited money. Even with socialism you have to tug your forelock at somebody because there will always be a hierachy. The Swedish Royal wedding was a massive turn off. Hotel bookings were exactly the same as they had been the previous year. Our monarchy is interesting because it is still functioning.
  4. Yes it worked in Russia.
  5. Its nice top have a part of the public sector that offers good value for money.
  6. I would get passionate about things that would genuinely change your quality of life. Go and live in Belgium if you so love bland.
  7. I think he may have married the wrong sister.
  8. Well to some it is 'a work of art' to others in Japan it offensive.
  9. Exactly. One mans humour is often offensive to another but please nobody tell me what I can an cannot laugh at.
  10. Oh its just that we were talking about censorship in comedy; we seem to have switched to Rwandan genocide. Very random. You were explaining how you do not believe in censorship in comedy and I was asking how you how if a similar youtube clip ridiculing the Japanese Royal Family causing a great deal of offence to the Japanese people. Would it then be a 'work of art' or would you seek to tell people that they cannot laugh at it.
  11. are race and culture not aligned?
  12. What if people found it funny. What sort of measures would you advocate?
  13. Yes a hint in a sort of politically correct policemans sort of way suggesting you could be sensing there could be 'perceived racism' way. 'Run along son on this occasion but I am watching you'.
  14. Yes but if it featured the Japanese Royal Family you and the rest of the liberal illiberal would be calling for it to be banned and arrests to be made.
  15. You have hinted that Turkish's avatar may be very sinister. - but you are prepared to give him the benefit of the doubt.
  16. Well actually a lot of people would find that offensive but I am not going to tell people what they can or cannot laugh at. Sadly this is not the approach of the PC gestapo. You often fall into this camp. But that is very much a Guardian readers trait.
  17. So its 'a work of art' if it offends British People? and if it offended other cultures you will jump back on your tedious high horse.
  18. Good luck. Tough times - what did you do?
  19. Personally I find AV extremely dull; it is far more likely to turn voters off than on; how will that sort the falling turnouts out? I like our general elections, with Jonathan Dimbleby, swingometers, independent candiates campaigning on one issues, Sunderland east being the first to declare. First Past the Post has does the jopb for me. Its a no from me.
  20. As a rule I get most offended by people who are so quick to judge other people and take offence on behalf of other people.
  21. Very sad. Proper character.
  22. View from the top you were wrong. I cancelled my trip after your comments but my four year old daughter had already told everyone she was going. My trip today was every bit as enjoyable as any game I have been to - it was just very emotional for me. The kit and the Name on the back was a bit pricey though. So happy I did it.
  23. No one comes closer to comedy sitcom genius.
  24. Comrade? I am a White Russian thank you very much Verbal.
