The Express article mentions that 32m is his release clause. I would guess if we do want him, we would try and negotiate that down. £32m is ridiculous, we've never even sold a player for that amount.

Looks like Osvaldo is finished at Inter.

https://twitter.com/Agent_Edward/status/552552260207919104 The source of this rumour. Not sure I'm ready to believe this fake agent twitter, need football-rumours.co.uk to corroborate the story before I get really worried.

Is Quintero any good? Seems like he doesn't start many games for Porto.
-
According to the SSN transfer window update thing, we are interested in Bruno Martins Indi, but will probably wait until the summer to try and sign him.
-
Mane is not ging to the AFCON as his unjury will rule him out for 4-6 weeks.

Post-Match Reaction: SAINTS 1-1 Ipswich Town
Bewildered replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Sounded like a mix of Ipswich playing for the draw and nobody wanting to make forward runs to support Pelle in the middle meant we were ineffective. But that's just from listening to Solent, hopefully someone at the game cvan explain with detail what happened. -
I hope Swansea play like this when we play them on Feb 1st.
-
On an unrelated note, December 28th is Spain's equivalent to April Fools Day, apparently.

Sevilla DM Gregorz Krychnowiak (linked to Arsenal since late october), tweeted this afternoon that he has agreed terms with an English club. Perhaps he is going to be the DM signing Arsenal have needed for the last two years?
-
Clyne out for 10 days, so not ready for Arsenal according to RK. I would either play Toby at RB or move Bertrand over to RB and keep Targett at LB. Move Yoshida back in to CB.
-
Not really fair to blame Yoshida, he probably was not expecting two of our players to run into each other and give the ball away like that.
-
Oh well, maybe we can get Kampl in the summer when Dortmund get relegated! (They won't get relegated, despite their current predicament)

A player whose career stalled after a move to Juventus that was a bit of a disaster. Well worth a punt at 3m euros though since RK will be familiar with him and it is an area where we need extra depth. -
RK says Reed will probably start on Saturday. More quotes from the OS

Feel bad for anyone who traveled up there to see what looks like a team that is not overly bothered if they win or lose.
-
Really poor performance, Ward Prowse and Hesketh were the only two players who really left any positive impression.
-
Poor half, Hesketh was playing really well until he got taken out. Other than that, Pelle's been quiet, Tadic has been poor, Mane has been poor and Bertrand needs to do more to stop Trippier from crossing. Burnley started well, but faded after 20 minutes as the game became more about our ineffective, indecisive attacking play.
-
A decent performance undone by two pieces of defending that would not even worthy of a Sunday league game. One goal should have been all we needed, United didn't didn't have a chance all night that wasn't gifted to them on a silver platter by our defence.
-
Decent half, United are there for the taking.
-
Tadic was out on the pitch having a fitness test, according to Adam Blackmore.

Aside from Bertrand, our crossing has been absolute rubbish so far.
-
Back four and Wanyama were immense, could have been out there until next Saturday and not let anything through. In the end some poor finishing from Mané and Pelle was all that prevented it from ending 3-0.

Poorest we've played all season in the second half, too busy arguing with the ref for the first and some poor set piece defending was punished for the second. After Begovic kept them in it with a couple of saves, we looked panicky and sat way too deep. Having said all that, the players showed the mental toughness that we lacked last season and were able to dig out a win at the death. No way that would have happened last season. Also, good to get the win over that bunch of dirty bastards. If they aren't making dangerous tackles, they are playacting or resorting to other forms of gamesmanship.
