Excellent result, hopefully the players can take this result and kick on for a strong finish. The other good thing is Huddersfield lost, their last 3 matches are absolutely brutal. Man City (A) Chelsea (A) Arsenal (H) Not unreasonable to think they won't get any points from those games.
-
Romeu looking like an old man who has escaped from the nursing home and suddenly has forgotten where he is going for the goal there. Also, Bertrand and Hoedt do realise they are allowed to enter the left side of their final third to defend, right?
-
Another interesting possibility is Huddersfield getting dragged into it. If they lose to Everton tomorrow, their last three are Man City, Chelsea and Arsenal, about as **** a run in as you can get.
-
Win the next two and Swansea lose the next two and the game in hand between the sides would become loser gets relegated. But 2 wins in a row is in the realm of pure fantasy for this squad let alone 3.
-
The squad and coaching staff definitely need a major overhaul, but the real question is do you trust Les Reed, Ralph Krueger and Ross Wilson to do it competently? I sure as hell don't.
-
Dire performances aplenty out there, but the substitutions were just terrible. How was Romeu allowed 90 minutes? What purpose did Davis serve? The refusal to go two up front for the last 20 minutes. Hughes is is as culpable as any player for tonight's result, which has definitely buried us.
-
Do we even have 11 fit players to field in this game? and when I say fit I mean as in "fit to wear the shirt" not physically fit.
-
Yeah it's just all around terrible. Worst I've seen them play since that 4-1 loss to the skates last time we got relegated from the PL.
-
Who was that getting mugged and allowing west ham to launch h the counter? Lemina. Again.
-
Thousands of pounds a week, but they seem happy to play kick and rush like a team if under 10s
-
Both those goals were the fault if our cm being garbage in possession.
-
Took them long enough, the miracle is that results have been so bad yet we aren't in the relegation zone atm so in theory someone competent could save us.
-
HT sacking please.
-
Emery, a supposed target before is supposedly getting sacked imminently...
-
Unable to win a game against a side that offered barely enough to be classified as sentient. Absolute joke of a manager and a board whose arrogance will cost us dearly. This squad has enough about it to be easily clear of relegation if they were playing under a competent manager. Unfortunately they are managed by Mr Bean and only have a hope of surviving because the league we are playing in is a cesspool in terms of quality.
-
Dear God what a load of ****.
-
My prediction, we'll be ok to start with, go 1-0 up and then decide to sit deeper and deeper, inviting unnecessary pressure until Stoke get at the very least an equaliser.
-
You forgot Redmond, Hoedt, Cedric etc...
-
A **** match between two **** teams.
-
Defended like pub league amateurs first half, showed no desire or initiative to even try and get back into the game second half. A psychologically weak side with a clueless manager.
-
Shame for us the only player who can make the right runs to get on the end of a cross can't actually head the ball. Also the **** defence.
-
I know a manager Chelsea can have, experience in England, Spain and his native Argentina. Learned the ropes from Rafa Benitez as a coach at Liverpool and got the took Alaves to the final of the Copa Del Rey. He's currently managing a PL rival, but I don't think it would be too difficult for Chelsea to tempt him to join them or convince his current club to let him go.

Jack Stephens Southampton goal machine

Who wants to bet when Les and Ralph will sack Pellegrino in a futile attempt to deflect criticism from themselves after this debacle?
-
Wasn't MP saying last week that the club had a Plan B if this move fails? All signs pointing to Promes or Bust.
