Don't need to understand tactics to see that him misplacing every other pass or getting tackled every 2 seconds is the reason for the moaning. That and he's not even our player, if we're going to persist with mediocrity we may as well put one of our own mediocre players on the pitch.

Yep, looks like Palace could be in trouble next season. Can we swap Fraser and Mo for Eduoard from Celtic? Personally think both Fraser and McCarthy are liabilities, though I'm not sure what McCarthy was doing against Leeds, both goals were appalling. How has Gunn done at Stoke? I know he's been injured but think he was back for the end of the season.

Disappointing loss, but we were all calling for Ralph to experiment - well, he's experimented and hopefully learned some valuable things. Such as: Armstrong is a decent CM but we miss him further forward when he's not there, and he lacks the discipline to play there against counter-attacking sides (see the second goal); Ings is the our only decent finisher; and McCarthy isn't very good.

No Romeu, but otherwise looks good. Shame Bertrand can't make the bench for a run out at the end.

Seems more like a lazy Saints -> Vestergaard/Hojbjerg -> Danish players link to me. Doesn't really fit our profile for new signings, and we have Romeu (and arguably JWP) for the "experienced" midfielder role.

Strikes me that a lot of the comments around Stephens are similar to ones we saw about Yoshida a few years back... good on his day but always has a mistake in him. Yoshi eventually sorted that out. Hope Jack can too, I like him a lot as a player and is also excellent and winding up opposition hot-heads.

Good player for us, and had a couple of years where he was arguably one of the best LBs in the league. Should have had more England caps! He'll be off to Arsenal or possibly Watford/Brentford. I'd be very surprised if he moves further afield, he never moved from Surrey when he left Chelsea to join us.
