Make it £40m if we're going to get lumped with Winks.
-
Glad he didn't, Henderson was absolutely awful when he was on. Should have been below Bellingham in the pecking order; or ideally, not in the squad.
-
After all outfield players have taken a pen, does it then go keepers and then managers? Hope not for Gareth's sake!

He also has an annoying habit of saying a player's name just after they have passed the ball on. What's the point of that? -
Looks very nice! I doubt the Chinese knock off factories will be able to reproduce the detail so I might have to buy a real one!

Jake Hesketh (?) playing on trial yesterday.

You're laughing if you think we could get Danjuma for £15m. Double it at least.

Underwhelmed at the idea of developing another side's youth talent without us having any chance of buying him, especially if the rumours of play time clauses etc. are true. I also don't think he's particularly good the times I've watched him, but then he has always played on the wrong side at United. Still, better to have him than play Bednarek at RB again when KWP is injured!

Almost as if Sheldon/The Athletic have no links with the club at all and are just a more polished content aggregator like Hampshire Live... Waste of my £12!

A bit of a step down from Alderweireld... and we speak from experience! -
Possibly the most authoritarian thing this government has done, given all the previous social restrictions have been done in the name of combatting COVID. Soon to be rivalled by voting ID laws, of course.

So no pre-season games at home? That's a shame, it would be a good opportunity for non-season ticket holders to get to St Mary's for the first time in two years.
-
I think the comparisons to Boufal are a little unfair. Sure he is a classic "technical winger" but he is also unironically our best defender on the left. With a more attacking full-back behind him in Perraud that may come in more important than ever this season. I think if he can stay fit then he should be starting most of our games on the left this season. He's certainly better than Redmond out there and Tella seems to be used more as a striker.
-
I'm hoping the biggest difference will mean our attacks don't always come down the same side. We've been too predictable, all the opponents have to do is stick one of their mids to the left to defend against KWP and we're 80% less dangerous.

So if I've been paying attention to this tournament, Italy will score next, then 3-3 in the last few minutes?
-
That's Premier League Champions Manchester City's goalkeeper that they've taken on loan in a massive coup. Never mind he got relegated out of League 1 last season.
-
Has he signed yet?
-
Can't begrudge him that at all, great move on a long contract and Leicester fans will love him.
-
What a team! 6 Ballon D'Or between them.
-
Nothing will happen either way while the Euros are still going. Kane may or may not move, Ings would be a sensible replacement for him for a year while they look for a more permanent replacement.
-
Welcome to Tottenham Jorge Mendes! Fully expect every Portuguese/Spanish player to be linked with Spurs now. Ronaldo on loan à la Bale?
-
Never known a fanbase to be so against a new managerial appointment. Maybe Mourinho at United but he had his fans there too. Hope we help him get off to a losing start.
-
Crazy hire, they're the one club right now who could have been forgiven for appointing a Big Sam or a Pardew - at least you can be confident they'll bring in some sensible players. Viera will have a very big job on his hands. Hope he's given more time than FdB.

Are we allowed to play three of McCarthy next season? Might add up to one competent goalie!
-
We were much better second half, in the first it was noticeable that we had a very half-arsed press going on, with Rice and Phillips pressing their DMs without any of our CBs stepping up, allowing Havertz to get the ball time and time again. Midfield two were less aggressive in the second half and Stones noticeably stepping forward more to cover when they went AWOL. Can't very well sit here and complain about the performance when we've just dumped the bloody Germans out!
