Signing Celtics keeper would be, and signing Casillas would also be. Similarly in the striker department, substitute Schmeichel for Ings, Forster for Hernandez and Casillas for Villa.

I don't think there would be many top half clubs who would consider Schmeichel good enough for their starting 11. I'm all for giving lower league players a chance, but if this is showing our ambition then it's not showing it in good light. That's not saying he's not a good signing but it's not ambitious in any way shape or form, if I'm being pedantic. Which I am.

Yep, especially considering the sell on clause and fact he's got 4 years contract left. If they've only got 40-60mill to spend in total then they can't sensibly afford to spend 30+mill on Lallana, so shouldn't get him.

I was joking, but yeah it kinda shows how much penny pinching is going on if we have to sell to carry on previous levels on spending. Pochettino would certainly have a reason to be ****ed off if club income has gone up £30mill and his transfer budgets being slashed.

I fully expect the extra £33million to be combined with £20mill from selling Osvaldo and Ramirez, plus an extra £30mill from our owners as per the last two seasons. That gives us £83mill to spend, lovely.

I'm sure it'll be jovial with the other 20 or so people who say the same stuff to him every day. It's common courtesy to leave them alone, as without sounding rude they probably don't want to talk to a load of complete strangers.
