What's wrong with making our own? It's hardly as if Adidas are haute couture, they're still cheap cr#p made in Taiwan.
-
Yes, really. Hence saying it.
-
That's silly money, I'd sell him for that if it meant making substantial funds available to the manager and keeping everyone else. Would't sell for less though.
-
But they haven't replaced them have they? Spurs haven't got a player in Bales league, United haven't replaced Ronaldo with a player of the same quality, same with Arsenal and Fabregas and RVP, same with Celtic. City is debatable but I'd rather have Tevez and Balotelli then City's strikers personally.
-
They're also considerably better then the players we'd be losing and the proper definition or irreplaceable, not Adam Lallana ffs.
-
Pretty much every club has sold their top players in recent years. Arsenal sold RVP and Fabregas, United sold Ronaldo, City sold Tevez and Balotelli, Spurs sold Bale, Celtic sold Wanyama and Hooper. It's just annoying how when we do it we're labelled a feeder club.
-
How would we get Benitez, aren't Napoli absolutely loaded? He'd be my top choice though followed by Klinsmann. It'd be nice if we could maybe get Howe in the club somewhere to train him up, maybe make him assistant manager or something if the new manager was happy with it.
-
Be quite funny him leaving us because we can't keep our best players, so he goes to Spurs...
-
Seems irrelevant to me. If the club show ambition and keep our key players Pochettino will stay, if not he won't.
-
This, surely that justifies Saints saying something?
-
You don't turn down an initial bid of £27mill then accept £30mill, come on now. If they went straight in at £27mill there's clearly plenty left in them, we could get £40mill out of them.
-
F#ck yeah.
-
A superstar is exactly what we'd want to make us look less like no-mark c#nts after selling our top players. I'd bring in Lukaku, Villa and Vela.
-
We also shouldn't be even considering selling our best players.
-
I'd rather be in League One looking up then the Prem looking down. Being a team on the up for once was awesome, it's very hard to get excited knowing that if we can't keep our best youth players after our best ever Premiership season whilst having well off owners we're never going to. I'd have no problem having no major signings as long as we could keep hold of our academy players.
-
Fonte or Schneiderlin would be my choice
-
Gaston's more likely to be here then Lallana.
-
Same, I'd have no problem with Lallana going as long as everyone else stayed. Losing Shaw would be too much of an ego blow though.
-
I see it like this - Katarina isn't as ambitious as Cortese and doesn't want to invest the amount needed. The players and manager all signed up to Cortese's plan to be top 4 and want assurances the club will carry on pushing for it without him here The club won't give it saying we can keep what we've got but players will have to be sold if he wants funds for transfers The manager and a few players will probably tell them to jog on.

Ralph Krueger's end of season interview
Pastor Patrón replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Nope but then again we got bought by billionaires with good intentions at minus 10 points in L1 in the middle of a global recession. -
Indeed, if you look it clearly says it was edited 15mins ago though.
-
In the BBC article this evening, it's now been edited out though
-
Why? The club have pretty much admitted that they're going to?

Ralph Krueger's end of season interview
Pastor Patrón replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
If the owners aren't interested in trying to improve on what we've got then why not just put the club up for sale? They've done what they set out to do when they bought it so why bother just stagnating?
