  1. How do I collect my prize https://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?58514-Fun-Poll-Next-Signing-date#.WWVPgoF4WaM
  2. Would make sense Young, Argentinean, Spanish league, showed promise then career stalled. Ticks most of the black box criteria
  3. Our net spend has been practically zero the past 3-4 summers and we just sold Jay for £12-15m With the TV money now what it is if we genuinely still need to sell players then something has gone wrong.
  4. I would say that's the reality for us now - the replacements since Nicola C and Paul Mitchell moved on have largely been worse. Shaw and Bertrand similar Clyne better than Cedric Lallana better than Tadic Cork better than Hojberg Schneiderlin better than Clasie Wanyama better than Romeu Mane better than Boufal Pelle better than Austin Fonte better than Yoshida The list goes on.... VVD better than Toby Alderweireld? Probably, but the replacements and magic black box has been found wanting since Mitchell and Nicola left
  5. Exactly and proof you do need to speculate to accumulate.
  6. Lol yep. 6 goals on his first 4 games.... Then Puel gets involved and it was no goals in 9 i think. Sims was another one. Looked electric on his debut, got dropped for a few months and came back as Mr. Sideways
  7. The Puel-effect. Non of our forward players did particularly well once Puel waved his magic on them.
  8. AFCB have been quite busy Defoe Ake Begovic
  9. Celtic are in the champions league... What you mean is champions league and pays 150k+ a week
  10. Some on here think our policy is flawless and revolutionary... Its not Our squad is getting progressively weaker and our bank balance isnt getting significantly bigger either. Issue with our policy is its not always successful - weve made a few quid selling our assets - Mane, Clyne, Morgan, Wanyama, Lallana, Lovren, Pelle and bagged a few quid but the £60-70m profit on these you’ve then lost £50-60m on duds like Juanmi, Ramirez, Osvaldo, Mayuka, Forren, Gardos, Clasie, Cuco, Gazzaniga, Pied, Hojberg and Boufal. A mix of buying potential and buying proven quality is what I've always encouraged... Everton are leading the way and will leave us behind if we just watch and sneer
  11. I disagree with Yoshida and Stephens, both look bang average to me and sentimentality is causing our squad to get progressively weaker. We still haven't adequately replaced Morgan We still haven't adequately replaced Wanyama We still haven't adequately replaced Fonte We still haven't adequately replaced Lallana We still haven't adequately replaced Mane Everton have swapped Lukaku for Rooney (tbc) Keane Pickford Ramirez Klaassan Onyekuru Sigurðsson (tbc) Most of them would improve our squad and we should respect Everton for not simply settling for mediocrity. Sentiment, lack of ambition and content for average is dragging us evee closer to Stoke, WBA, WHU and AFCB when 12 months ago we had a squad in touching distance to the top 6 clubs. Everton have traded places with us while we suck a thumb and be thankful we have a club.
  12. Ffs! Im getting worried now. Even with the extra European games Everton could still finish above us. Hope Leslie is cooking up a few treats for us.....
  13. 390 appearances and 185 goals = nothing?
  14. World cup year. He wont want a year out
  15. Gylfi Sigurðsson would do the trick
  16. Leslie has made his bed - now he needs to lie in it.
  17. Imagine when he actually is sold to Liverpool.... Melt down
  18. Lukaku has same length as Mane. Is he worth 3x more?
  19. I guess if you make gentlemans agreements and then renegade on them you're going to **** people off Tip: dont advertise yourself as a stepping stone club and then decline when a step comes knocking.
  20. Puel was a huge factor but you can't under estimate the additional games and impact this had. Everton will struggle in the league this season but i do expect them to do better in Europe than we did.
