Tbf Everton did ok too. Basically swapped Lukaku for Rooney (tbc) Keane Pickford Ramirez Klaassan Onyekuru They still have some spare change + have the Barkley fee to potentially come in. -

Lukaku to man united now confirmed. Fee is reported at 75-90m!!! -
Or the try before you buy **** up with Toby Alderweireld
-
With Europe this season Everton will get no more than 46-48 points. Its impossible to do well in the league with Europa cup too We will take 7th this season, unless AFCB or Newcastle or WHU or Leicester do
-
Could loan out Yann or Sims or maybe Tadic will be sold

Lol ok -
Considering our wage bill is 85m now we have many players earning similar to that already. First team squad is averaging 65k a week now.
-
The Chelsea model is outstanding and very successful Buy cheap > loan out > sell high. They dont need to play for the first team.

I wouldn't suggest that Everton get top dollar - Lukaku 75 Stones 50 ____________ Total 125 Mane 30 Wanyama 10 Pelle 10 Fonte 7 Clyne 12 Lallana 25 Lovren 20 Cork 3 Lambert 3 Puncheon 2 Juanmi 3 ____________ Total 125 -
Be great if newspapers set all the fees for transfers...

Has anyone said he is unpopular and disruptive? I think most want him gone as want a full fresh start and no remnants of the Puel era -
Are we still selling ourselves as a stepping stone club?

Dont get me wrong if the "not for sale" words are not just bluster then im delighted. But what affect does that have on the players that signed on that premise? -
Messaging seems to have changed this summer and wonder if we still promote ourselves and sign players on the premise that we are a stepping stone? Hojberg spoke openly about using us and making the step to one of the top sides last summer and recently Bednarek spoke about it openly. With the club now saying VVD, Bertrand ect are not for sale (despite top club interests) has the messaging just changed and do we risk having unsettled and annoyed players that signed with that stepping stone promise?

Very similar size income. We have received more TV money than them past 3-4 seasons. Far more income from transfers Same income from match days and our commercial income is almost identical. Everton are the more ambitious club. Thats it. -
I have been twice - love it and going again in January (2 nights) on route to Tokyo. Stayed at Hotel Artemide last time I went and found the location very good. Loads to do and food is great as you'd expect - book restaurants in advance.
-
some people are too sentimental and lacking in ambition - we would still have Chaplow and Jack Cork pulling the strings in midfield and Lambert banging them in up top if some of the people on here made decisions. Maya has been decent enough back up (if you ignore his mistakes over the years) he seems content with playing 10-11 games a season and he will thankfully remain backup. If we don't sign another CB (I hope we do) then VVD and Stephens will likely start the season with Maya back to the bench.

I would bank it and wait for Everton and ACFB to collapse. We don't want a repeat of 2009 - let other clubs spend and do a Pompey

Puel and Black are a package. Puel out Black out.... We need a clean start, all remnants of Puels era need to be wiped clean ASAP -
Yoshida was outstanding during our run of 4 wins in 20 games..... Sorry not good enough, unless your ambition is now just 13th-17th place.
-
I agree, we need to trim some fat. In todays market we could probs raise £40m from the sales of.... Gazzaniga Yoshida Gardos Targett Clasie Long

He thinks/thought/says that our team is better but also thought Puel was doing v.well despite finishing just 16 points below them last season. #confused -

Can we finish higher than eighth in the 2017-18 season?
Heisenberg replied to SaintJackoInHurworth's topic in The Saints
We do spend money - lots of it. In fact (according to the latest financials) we've spent more than we have received. Everton have spent the Stones + incoming Lukaku and Barkley money well. They have basically swapped those 3 for Bolasie, Schneiderlin, Williams, Lookman, Gueye, Keane, Pickford, Klaassen, Ramirez and Onyekuru We have made some decent signings (VVD, Mane, Bertrand ect) but we have also wasted a whole heap of the £££s recieved - Boufal, Hojberg, Redmond, Clasie, Juanmi, Long, Osvaldo, Mayuka, Forren, Ramirez - that's £120m+ plus circa £60m in wages -
