Agreed. The wages paid in 2013 will definitely impact us in 2017 I think we are now 8th in the wage table -

The Everton squad was well below ours in terms of quality just 12 months ago. We then sold Pelle, Wanyama and Mane and lost Koeman. Over the past 12 months they have signed Bolasie, Schneiderlin, Williams, Lookman, Gueye, Keane, Pickford, Klaassen, Ramirez and Onyekuru. Thats a fantastic list of additions offering a mix of youth, experience and proven talent. In the same period we have signed Bednarek, Boufal, Gabbi, Hojberg and Redmond. Really hoping Puel was an affect of player form but that's not great additions compared to Everton -

Other Premier League Transfers - Deadline Day

Definitely!! And thats frustrating as we have seemingly stood still and allowed them to very simply bump us from best of rest spot. No fight, no resistance just stepped aside. We are now closer to AFCB and WHU than we are to the top 7 IMHO -

To be top 4 wouldn't we need 4 of the top 7 to have uncharacteristically poor seasons? Doesn't seem like its a recipe for guaranteed success -

Whose moaning? Youre moaning about me moaning but i ain't moaning.... If we are no longer a stepping stone club, i just worry how that affects those players signed on the premise that we are a stepping stone club?
-
So we are no longer a stepping stone club? Jan Bednarek spoke quite openly about us being a stepping stone club just a few days ago?
-
I wonder if this is Reeds last season and he is trying to go out with a mini bang? Seems odd that he's sold anything and everything the previous 3 summers and openly flogs us as a stepping stone club fighting it out for 8-12th spot and then suddenly slams the stable doors. Great for us, but feels very much like we are building to a huge sale list next summer.

Just had a flick through a couple of Everton forums and they are rightfully buzzing for next season. Some (supposedly reputable) ITKs reporting that they have paid less than £60m upfront for Pickford, Klaassan, Keane, Ramirez and Onyekuru. Seems like they are securing some proven talent at reasonable prices and will then flog Lukaku and Barklay for big bucks.... Doubt Koeman is looking back in anger. -

Looks a real bargain at £5m Fair play to them they are (on paper) making some very decent signings -
IMHO = In my honest OPINION HTH HTH = hope that helps
-
Does his 5 year contract give us another shot at the EFL cup final as IMHO the Fonte debacle cost us a trophy

They have to sell!! If a team above you in the football food chain wants your player(s) you have to sell. Failure to sell means player will strike and police will prosecute. Ask MLG -
The guarantee posted by nobody ever?
