Agreed mate - I was desperate for Puel to succeed (long term) but he seemed too stubborn and set in his ways. Was hoping he'd prove me wrong, but alas Look forward to the next manager now - onwards and upwards COYR
-
He probably should have listened

Do Silva or Monk have 14 day cooling off periods?

Ticket seasons boost right there. Onwards n upwards - don't gamble again Leslie. Go get Tuchel

Puel Sacked? - As Reported by Crook of Sh*t

Bye bye Not disappointed at all in that. Reed gets a second crack and hopefully gets it right this time -
He was given under 900 minutes in the league so played the equivalent of less than 10 league games. He scored 5 league goals.... Not bad given his mismanagement. Think he was dropped either immediately or sharpish afyer every goal too.... Go figure

Anyone know when Les gets back from his holidays?

Please sell Dusan Tadic to Liverpool

Zero chance he has a 13m release clause. Im not Reeds biggest fan but he's not that stupid. In todays market hes worth £30m imho -
Not used well under Puel. Id give him a shot under our new manager. Sell in January if he's not in new managers plans

You were not alone mate. Handful were underwhelmed but majority (including me) were v.pleased https://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?51238-Bertrand-signs-for-a-season-long-loan&highlight=Bertrand#.WT7cKdrTXqA

I'm assuming Everton will qualify from there Europa group (to knockouts) assuming of course they get a nice draw like we did. Would be a big ask for Koeman to finish top 7 4x in a row no? Time will tell i guess -

They will do well to replace Lukaku - top goal scorers like that a few and fair between. Think Koeman will do very well to finish top 12 next season with the squad transition and Europe. Wonder if they will sacrifice the league for a run at Europe ala Leicester -

Everton seem very ambitious - really hope they don't manage to sign these players -
Players a bit worried with where the club are heading !?

Momentum curve. Said last summer that the manager choice and player recruitment was huge... We fuxked it up and the whole tone changed from "champions league" to mid table is good enough. Can't blame players for wanting out. Under the current regime we are simply making up the numbers -
Last summer i made alot of noise about 2 signings. Idrissa Gueye and Nacer Chadli - both were affordable and i felt both cdajfu.
-
Thought he was excellent for England yesterday. Was not his best season but think that was the Puel factor rather than any dip in ability. Under the right manager we will again see Bertrand at his best
-
Bookies still have Liverpool as favourites to sign him... Ahead of us keeping him.
-
Any evidence? Or do take everything you read in tabloids as 100% true?

Please sell Dusan Tadic to Liverpool
Heisenberg replied to Golac's Iron Gonads's topic in The Saints
Tadic was not great last season. But under Puel non of our forward players excelled. Im giving him a pass from last season as Puels tactics really didn't work to his strengths (anyones strengths) Under the right management Tadic will come good, like he did under Koeman -
Yeah id like to see us flex our muscle a little more with clubs below us (in food chain) In the same way that we cant keep players joining clubs above us (in food chain) should be reflectively easy to sign these young and talented players. Everton have stolen the march on that and seem to be heavy focused on young talent from the lower leagues
-
Can sometimes be difficult to remain positive during the summer, with player sales and management and takeover uncertainty. A positive just now however is the message to Liverpool and our refusal to deal with them again (at least regards VVD)

I said Les et al. If you think its purely coincidence i will not change your mind. If you think its simply impossible the club would do that i will never change your mind. Ill stay open minded about it. Here's a 118 pages of fans sniping and mocking ex players and managers as us fans are always encouraged to wish ex players and managers all the best right? https://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?51186-Defectors-Watch#.WTv5HJ_TXqB
