There is a food chain in football not sure anyone disputes that, and if we lost 1 top player every other summer like Leicester did last (Kante) and this (likely Mahrez) there would probably be few disputes. Think the issue is selling 3-4 EVERY summer plus the fetish Les seems to have with Liverpool transfers
-
while we are all looking at Liverpool will Everton sneak in behind and bend Les over?
-
Given our most recent history of replacing managers and players id prefer to stick rather than twist with regards VVD. If Reed is insisting on selling players sell Clasie, Gardos, Jay Rod, Long even Tadic. Just not our best player (again) and too Liverpool (again)
-
Time for this old boy to retire.
-
We improve every season... (excluding last season)

What has Kat put in? Genuine question She has loaned the club money and charges a handsome interest. Since inheriting the club she has sold 240m worth of players - will likely top 300m once the summer is through. She will eventually sell the club she was given for 200+ million. What "pile of money" has she put into the club?

Puel loves a pay off. Is this 5 jobs and 5 payouts for the loveable friendly frenchman?
-
£60m probably mean 40m guaranteed + extras So...... £6m to offload Puel and his team £6m to Kat (interest on her loan) £12m to Celtic £6m to VVDs agent 1.2m bonus for Les Leaves 8.8m to buy a replacement

Perhaps the Liverpool gifts are more to LLLs liking
-
MLG is a troll. Best to ignore, he would have watched Semedo zero times I guarantee As for Semedo well the Sporting manager and fans don't seem to rate him much and the 50% sell on clause wont be to LLLs liking. Strikes me as another big gamble and could easily go same way as Hojberg, Ramirez and Boufal
-
Liverpool **** off Les Reed **** off Ralph Krueger **** off Oh and Puel **** off This club
-
That's our LLL for you
-
Doesn't Les Reed call it “Bridge of the Starship Enterprise”
-
Monk, LVG, Tuchel or Ryan Giggs whoever Reed decides will get my full support as always
-
Seems mixed to me, some ok some not... No real passion either way. Read a few comments on Facebook which were against him being appointed. Similar to his appointment here, think the fanbase were fully behind him at the start, but he killed our passion and support with his horrific playing style and his own poor personality. St. E are very very welcome to him.
-
Anyone else getting déjà vu? Same as last summer we have "ITKs" with different information and randoms on other football forums being ITK on all things SFC too, papers ate wildly speculating and bookies have no clue. Top names being linked and hope building..... This all leading one way (same as last summer) an LLL motivational speach or article followed by an underwhelming announcement re manager and players.
-
So as i suspected LLL has no balls and we need the takeover before we ditch Puel the clown. Les is probably just focusing on his sales to Liverpool
-
Guess it might be a dispute over wages. If Puel has 2 years left at 3.2m and St. E are only offering 2m a year he wont quit unless we make up the difference. Hes probably now hoping for the sack so we have to pay up in full to him and his useless coaching team

Its difficult to have a debate or discussion as you only have 3 posts a day. That will change if Tuchel is appointed, thats a promise i will keep mate. Our views are different and doesn't matter how many face-palms or name calling you do, we just have different opinions. You will defend everything Saint Les does regardless. I choose to question occasionally. Normally you eventually come round to my way ive noticed (Puel, Ramirez ect ect) just typically takes you longer than me. We are all different mate, embrass it. Forum would be super dull if we all agreed all the time. Keep smiling buddy

We are currently 3rd favourites to have VVD next season. He has a 5 year contract.... As you have pointed out many times SFC contracts are purely there to maximise sale price. We are an out n out selling club.
-
Enough for Palace to react and respond with a new improved contract it would seem
-
Shoot..... You saying ive wasted my money? Notice odds have drifted slightly and Jaap has jumped to 3rd fav now
-
Fair play to Palace - https://www.theguardian.com/football/2017/may/25/wilfried-zaha-five-year-contract-crystal-palace Tottenham, Arsenal and Manchester City had shown interest Les and Kat take note

You were happy with the headline figures the papers speculated about - like me at time. But the released financials showed that we don't get anywhere near the fees reported + once agents, previous club and player take a cut we are actually seeing very little (compared to the original headline totals) Think the same will happen with VVD - papers will wildly speculate the selling fee (40-70m) and some will take the highest reported total and feel happy. Then the financials will arrive and we will see that we got only a fraction of the reported fee.
-
We will have to wait and see, but think its mostly us that panic sell at low fees once contracts get low. Everton seem quite strong at negotiating Suspect they will definitely get more than we did for Mane as for Barkley well we got 12m for Wanyama (in similar contract circumstances) and suspect again Everton will be better at negotiating again here
