  1. But, but, but.......the Liverpool Echo said........ Anyway, great news, puts that one to bed straight away. And.........breathe
  2. Not Liverpool again, ffs!!!!
  3. Koeman to Watford?
  4. I really wish Les Reed could get contracts over the line.........
  5. Well this is all hypothetical, but I agree if Ron decides to leave us for Everton then yes, that looks bad, but on the other hand if it's the club that are pushing Koeman out because they intend to replace him with a top quality manager then it looks more positive for us. Fact is, we don't know what has gone on behind the scenes, I believe Ron when he says he intends to honour his contract, but the board may not be happy with him going into his final year without an extension. Then there was the talk of dissatisfaction with Ron according to Guan. There could be a stand-off, a stalemate situation. Who knows. Just hope this sh*t is sorted soon.
  6. I agree it doesn't look good if he goes to Everton, but if the new manager we have lined up is somebody "special", an upgrade on Ron, then our ambition could be seen to be bigger.
  7. Let's hope he can kill this rumour and not give it more fuel by being evasive. Yep, and there for me lies the source of all this. De Boer leaves Ajax, De Boer is "interested" in the Everton job but can't make the approach himself, Martinez sacked, Ron in final year of contract but with talks ahead, Ron all over the papers - in demand. Agent, plus journalists, plus Everton PR, win win for all concerned.
  8. Oh...it's still going on. I hoped that when I woke up Ron would have killed the rumour by using his twitter account. Would be easy to do wouldn't it? All over the papers. End it in a second. Thinking this is from his side now -specifically his agent.
  9. I notice the Liverpool Echo article also states that; "Everton have yet to make contact with any of the managers on their shortlist."
  10. Jose Mourinho is "interested" in the Everton job. Very easy to write that.
  11. That's what your best mate Les Reed is saying right now
  12. Doesn't all this come from the Liverpool Echo saying he is "interested" without a single quote or sentence to back it up? It's already been posted on the other Ron thread. Looking at the comments section on that article even Everton fans are asking where the "interested" quote comes from. The article says that De Boer is interested, that's it. I'm guessing that the press have jumped all over it as they do. We are the gift that keeps on giving since Summer '14, a regular annual fixture like I'm a celebrity or X Factor. I would have thought Ron would have bigger fish to fry. Anyway, if he goes there who replaces him? All seems weirdly coincidental that De Boer left Ajax today.
  13. Koeman "interested" but not a single quote or sentence to back it up. Mostly about De Boer. Typical journalist jargon too - Koeman is "in the race" like he's jostling for position with Frank. "Hey Frank, it's a good club, get out of my way." "No Ron, I'm racing out of a good position, you get out of the way!" Would be highly p*ssed off if he goes there.
  14. If he'd stayed with us he'd be playing every week, he'd be loved and appreciated, he'd still be a very rich man and he'd be in the French squad. Tough luck old chap, no sympathy from me.
  15. Yes I was unfortunate enough to hear Mr Barton say that we've done alright in recent seasons, but are nothing compared to the massive gravitational pull that is planet Everton. So it's a no-brainer for RK, according to Joey. Yes Everton are a big club, but so are Newcastle - should Ron consider them too?
  16. He has played at right back under Pep, but it's not his chosen position. He's fed up of not getting game time so will be looking for regular football, so can't imagine him happy sitting on the bench waiting for Fonte to relinquish his spot. Would we consider him for RB? At least Rom will have good things to say about us, I enjoy the little videos that he posts. Seems like a really nice, grounded, intelligent bloke.
  17. It's all about re-positioning West Ham and the Olympic stadium as a huge success story complete with European Football and everyfink.
  18. Yes I saw that too. There's also a poster who reckons Poch is a man of integrity.
  19. What ever happened to commentators just telling you what's happening on the pitch? At what point did they become obsessed with the sound of their own voices? Was it Motson? I seem to recall (when I was a kid) him saying something about "cascading cauldrons of chaos" and always going on about "the omens". I remember my dad ranting about it.
  20. Well that's that. No sport media for at least 24 hours for me. Useless Utd. Dreadful coverage. Wrong result. Despite all that it's been enjoyable on here (sad eh?)
  21. "The final whistle for the final time." FFS "The football gods smiled down." FFS
  22. Media blackout beckons for me if it stays like this.
  23. Sky bloke is bad enough.
  24. Man U have.
  25. "This is a special, special evening." " Bobby Moore may be looking down on this." Please strangle the commentator. I'll pay.
