I wonder the same thing. I get the impression (perhaps wrongly) that Ron has little to do with the academy. If Les contrasts that with Poch's attitude he may feel disappointed by that side of Ron's management. Thing is, if Ron says they aren't good enough and the first team's results are going well, what can Les say? Perhaps the next manager after Ron will be expected to be more hands on with the youngsters.

Thanks for posting. Very interesting to see what goes on behind the scenes from Les Reeds perspective. It almost reads like a character reference for prospective employers of Poch! The stuff about the academy makes me wonder if Ron is as hands on. I presume not or am I wrong?

Agree. They were bloomin' awful. With 4 minutes left to play of the CL semi-final you'd expect them to get forward quickly, pump balls into the box, bust a gut, but no, they passed the ball around nonchalantly at the back as if they didn't give a ****. So frustrating to watch. So much for a weakened side against us last Sunday, I reckon we'd have beaten last night's 11 as well.
