They expect to be fully open by 1/6 if there are no setbacks. Masks compulsory. The country is now making their own after a consignment from the big C were faulty having passed EU regs! That would be after the big C delivered respirators to the Portuguese embassy in Beijing and not the full consignment despite insisting on money up front and the destination for delivery was several thousand miles away. Appears the latest trick is to provide defective equipment insisting on money upfront. Disgraceful.

France is twice the size of the UK with roughly the same amount of people so they are not so crammed in. The French lockdown is much different. If you wish to enter the country by car you have to fill out an Attestation form stating why you need to be on the streets. You can travel through the country and quite frankly they are in a worse situation sending people all over France and even the Germans have taken unwell people as the French just do not have sufficient beds. People like to put down the Brits but you know, the hospital that they put together in around a week was nothing short of a miracle. The story of lack of PPE and masks stems all over Europe so it’s not just a UK problem. The Chinese are sending masks which are being returned as faulty. Everywhere over Europe and in the Uk, companies are stepping up to the mark to supply their health systems. Full admiration to all who are stepping up.

As usual it’s all about money. Many players give their time to spend a little happiness, sort of volunteering. It’s not all about the money, it’s about giving up your time to volunteer that is what a lot of charities need. Hands together for all those who volunteered. This virus doesn’t see through rich and poor, you can’t buy your way out of this one. What I don’t see is the wealthy and so called celebrity giving their time except to make jingles for the tele. I see lots of low paid workers getting up and going out to help. Usual “I’m too important” nonsense. Let’s hope we all remember those that volunteered and on low pay, I doubt it though. As the song goes “once I made you rich enough, rich enough to forget my name.
