Is that nic’s brain?
-
Does nic understand the difference on national government between the mid terms in the US and local council elections in the UK? I’m guessing no. He has already shown that he doesn’t understand the difference between “postponed” and “cancelled.” Still, that’s a MAGA supporter for you.

It is interesting that only the election results that Trump loses are the ones he says are rigged. The ones he wins are all kosher. We are watching democracy being destroyed in the US bit by bit on a daily basis.

Where did he get the money from? Like you I have seen links to Israel. An article yesterday looked at things that Mossad have been linked with, including Robert Maxwell’s death. It was suggested that Maxwell was working for Mossad and when he became a liability they bumped him off. His daughter of course is now doing time for her activities with Epstein. Epstein had reach across the world and didn’t get to where he was without powerful support.

I hope that the body wasn’t still there?

For those who missed it. If true it takes Trump to an even lower level. https://www.dailystar.co.uk/news/us-news/breaking-donald-trump-accused-measuring-36646003#

The Starmer Years - Can The New Broom Sweep Clean?
sadoldgit replied to sadoldgit's topic in The Lounge
It makes you wonder about the vetting processes of all of the parties. I can see why Starmer wanted Mandelson in Washington. He is a smarmy character who would be happy to suck up to Trump. A rudimentary check on his personal email account would have flushed out his activities during the Blair/Brown governments. We have a functioning spy network yet don’t seem to use it to monitor the activities of our own. It isn’t as if we don’t have a previous history of turncoats and currently Farage is far too cozy with the likes of Steve Bannon and Putin. -
Not sure about that. He seems to waft the ball rather than get real power behind it. It’s a shame we can’t just bring a player off the bench to take penalties. Manning looks like he could take a good pen.

Downing Street have passed on emails from Mandelson to the police and are now working on legislation to remove his peerage. The Clinton’s are to testify. https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2026/feb/02/bill-clinton-interview-rejected-epstein

So much here to discuss. Did he really kill himself? His “suicide” was certainly convenient.* Why has it taken so long for the files to be disclosed and what is in the millions of files yet to be disclosed by the DOJ? Epstein and Maxwell are the only people to see the inside of a cell so far. Andrew Mountbatten and Lord Mandelson have faced disgrace here, but neither have faced criminal proceedings, yet. Some of the redacted files clearly implicate the current POTUS with paedophlia. Where do you start? * An associate of Epstein’s, Jean-Luc Brunel, also committed suicide in a police cell by hanging.

Football clubs are businesses and businesses have to plan for the worse, or in Wolves case, the inevitable. SR are clearly planning on being here next season too so are clearing the decks with a view to another rebuild in the summer. Football fans live from game to game. Clubs have to take a longer view, hence they often throw around the word “project.”

The Starmer Years - Can The New Broom Sweep Clean?

Wasn’t he called “The Prince of Darkness” when he was Blair’s spin doctor? If the emails are kosher he needs the book thrown at him (as does Trump for kiddy fiddling). It seems that we have taken more action over the Epstein files so far than the US has. Andrew Mountbatten needs further investigation too. The Epstein files could probably do with its own thread. I wonder how many of those who will kick off about Mandelson said a word against Dominic Cummings? -

If only you had been so critical of the last lot, perhaps you could be taken seriously. As for nonces, have you said anything about Trump so far? -
Call me old fashioned, but I am going to wait until he misses his first sitter before I write him off as a useless donkey.

So Trump is closing the Kennedy Centre for two years for renovations. Nothing to do with so many artists pulling out of performing there because of him adding his name to the venue. https://eu.dispatch.com/story/news/local/2026/02/02/ohio-rep-joyce-beatty-blasts-trump-kennedy-center-closure/88472287007/

Perhaps those who laughed at the suggestion that the influence of the far right across Europe was growing and co-ordinated will start taking it seriously now?

Excellent.

Maybe not in term of Prem quality, but many of them are solid players in our league. Armstrong is obviously seen as being worth a punt on if Middlesbrough and Wrexham want him. Edwards is considered quality by many and I don’t think we used him properly, but then you could say the same for many of the players on that list. My point is that if you let the likes of Armstrong and Archer go and either replace them with inferior players or no one at all, surely the club becomes less attractive to potential buyers. We were seen as a decent shout for promotion before the season started with these players. Are they rubbish or have we been playing a rubbish system and not got the best out of them?
-
I we do sign this guy can we at least see him on the pitch for us until we decide that he is rubbish?

As someone said previously, if they want to sell the club they get a better price if they sell it as proper going concern - a club that could get into the EPL without a huge investment. Sell off the family jewels and it becomes less attractive.

Watch the film if you haven’t since you posted. Paul Newman is excellent.

It works well until someone quotes his posts, then you still get to see some of what he posted. Ideally the function should block out everything from them. In an ideal world you should be able to block them from seeing your posts too. It has to be worth a fiver a year to make the upgrade. Some great stuff circulating at the moment.
