One canvasser on the radio yesterday said that people on the doorstep were openly saying that “we are letting too many brown people into the country.” Also, although the “small boat people” are a small percentage of immigrants arriving here, they are the ones being weaponised and the ones most people think of. It is a decision that you are not likely to change your mind about though is it. The process takes a long while which gives people plenty of time to think about it.
