  1. You have a problem with an opposing view about Trump and his actions being nasty? Two posters have told us that Trump is some kind of genius instead of an unstable lunatic. I don’t have a problem calling out anyone who thinks Trump is in anyway remotely normal. And you don’t have a problem calling out people who have opposing views to you do you Whelk?
  2. Liz Truss and GM/eaststandnic separated at birth? https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2025/04/14/trump-bold-action-defeat-quangocracy/
  3. Good to see this issue reaching main stream news. Vets bills have been ridiculously high for some time now. We had a bill for £7,500 after our dog had treatment last year including having a stomach operation that wasn’t, in hindsight, required. We would get a morning call from the night staff each day giving us an update on the dog’s condition but the staff would be more concerned in taking our credit card details (we had to pay for treatment daily) rather than talk about the dog’s condition. One of the older Vets we spoke to talked about how attitudes had changed since he worked for a family vet’s practice (it was taken over by a corporate business) and that he felt it was now more about generating income than pet care. They have you over a barrel. Who is going to say no to treatment despite facing a massive bill for a beloved pet when they are poorly? https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c62zzegvk33o.amp
  4. In his world if your country is invaded then it is your fault it happened. Just as US soldiers killed or wounded are, in his words, losers (probably because they didn’t have the foresight to develop bone spurs. Every day this moron displays just how unsuitable he is for office and in all probability, for his sake and for the sake of the rest of the world, should probably be in an institution with padded cells. Strangely we still have some posters on here who call this man a genius! Go figure. They way that his administration are also ignoring court orders is chilling. We also have posters here who believe that we should turn our backs on the European Court of Human Rights. No surprise that they support hard right politics and vote for people like Farage. He himself shares Trump’s disdain for basic humanity and human rights. People are being taken off of the streets in the US and being placed in jails in foreign counties without any recourse to a fair, judicial procedure. We still have people here who think it ok to deport people to Rwanda. Just let that sink in for a moment. Gary Lineker took all kinds of shit for stating the fact that a certain type of rhetoric had parallels in Nazi Germany in the 1930’s. We have moved even further along that path since then but where is the outage? Trump, and to a lesser extent Farage, are both very skilled operators at normalising things that would have been dismissed as unacceptable a few years ago. We clearly learn nothing from history.

  7. Cheer up. We are only 6 places under the mighty Manchester United!
  8. Maybe if he agreed to stop making the libellous claims that resulted in his incarceration in the first place, that might help his appeal? Failing that, he ought to employ nic to head up his appeal team on the grounds that a Somalian doesn’t have to go back to Somalia.
  9. That’s what I thought initially, but apparently they are still trading with Russia at a level significantly higher than a number of countries who have been hit with tariffs of 10% (at the start of the announcement of tariffs) so that argument doesn’t hold true. https://amp.dw.com/en/donald-trump-tariffs-russia-belarus-sanctions-imports-trade-goods/a-72150328
  10. Don’t bite. He is the forum version of Joey Barton. Strong prospect Rohl is mid table himself in the Chsmpionship but he is a bloke so that’s ok I guess.
  11. Will Still being mentioned now.
  12. Anyone know what the tariffs are imposed on Russia and North Korea?
  13. You do know that Donald Ducks didn’t actually write it don’t you? Who would want to kiss his flabby orange ass (apart from GM)? https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/video/2025/apr/09/they-are-kissing-my-ass-trump-says-countries-are-pleading-to-negotiate-tariffs-video Japan selling bonds…the art of the deal working well there then. 😂 I remember a SWF sage telling us a while back that “socialism is dangerous”. If that is the case, what does it make capitalism under someone like Trump?

  18. This is very true. But, think about it, if you owned the club would you employ someone you and your board wanted or who the fans wanted? It is their club. It is their money. They call the shots. As you say, it doesn’t matter a hoot. At some point the next manager will also be deemed as being a clown for losing matches, selecting the wrong team, using the wrong tactics, buying or selling the wrong players etc. Even Koeman faced calls for the sack by some in this forum. The new manager will either be good, bad or indifferent - all three often seen as such by many different fans after every game.
  19. This can’t possibly be the case. Nic had assured us that Trump surrounds himself with proper bona fide experts!!! More here. https://www.dailykos.com/stories/2025/4/4/2314684/-Rachel-Maddow-Trump-crashed-the-world-s-markets-based-on-the-advice-of-a-fictional-economist# How many times has Trump filed for bankruptcy? 6 isn’t it? Perhaps he isn’t that business savvy after all nic and needs to find some new, real financial experts?

    Ivan Juric

Probably should have gone earlier but no point in keeping him on board if he isn’t going to be here next season. Time to clear the decks and start planning for next season.

    Israel

There have been countless claims of “alleged” war crimes but you won’t find hypochondriac criticising the IDF for any of them. In fact he thinks that it is appropriate to post laughing emojis instead. Back to the IDF who, apparently, take great care in choosing their targets. https://www.aljazeera.com/amp/news/liveblog/2025/4/7/live-israel-kills-43-in-gaza-orders-palestinians-in-deir-el-balah-to-flee If the IDF want a kill zone why can’t they use their own land rather than encroaching further into Gaza and Palestinian land? https://www.theguardian.com/world/2025/apr/07/israel-military-gaza-perimeter-land-testimony-report
  22. Badenoch demonstrates once again what a nasty piece of work she is. Now she sides with a foreign regime over democratically elected colleagues going about their lawful business. https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2025/apr/06/kemi-badenoch-israel-labour-mps-yuan-yang-abtisam-mohamed

  25. So no truth in the rumour that Trump is going to apply a 50% tariff on football forums in the UK because they are saying nasty things about him then? You really do love a conspiracy theory don’t you nic? Tell me, what can we do on TSW to stop Trump in his tracks. If we have the power, tell us how to harness it please.
