  1. Having gone to all the trouble of creating a new persona on here Delldays/Batman, the least you could do is to raise your level of put downs to above your usual 6th form efforts. Little wonder the navy put you in the galley and away from the rest of the crew. A six month tour of duty must have seemed like a year for your poor comrades. So back to your attempted put down, here is a little hint. When millions of people think that the PM and his cabinet are useless, it is a bit pathetic calling out just one of their critics. It might make you feel better about yourself and ingratiate you to the forum WUM, but it serves no other purpose. Just as long as you are comfortable with the most inept PM in our lifetime leading the country in what could be the biggest threat to this nation since WW2, all’s well eh?

    Russia

I have no idea what he thinks. In this morning’s broadcast he looked and sounded like a second rate Bond villain. The problem is, if you don’t stand up to despots the situation just gets worse. And what makes the UK any more special than Ukraine? They deserve a peaceful life, just as we do.

    Russia

I expect the Ukrainians, the Poles, the Hungarians etc don’t want this shit either. At what point do we say enough and put a stop to Putin’s madness?
  4. Random question. Would it have anything to do with the colour of their skin?

    Russia

Yep, Ukraine was in the news last month too. Funny how you can have both home news and foreign affairs in the same programmes/news outlets. Or do you think that our Foreign Minster and the defence staff all spend their time eating cake? Mind you, you might know something about that.

    Why wouldn’t “we?”
  7. Tom Davis. Got good reviews for King Gary and the Curse. Why? I have to agree with Steve Coogan too. Can’t think of any of his characters that I have found funny. If that means I am thick, so be it. Cant agree about Spike Milligan though. He was naturally a very funny man despite suffering from severe depression. Without Spike Milligan there was possibly no Monty Python. I might disagree with Rosie Jones being on the list if only I could understand what she was saying. I used to love Ricky Gervais on his radio show on Saturday afternoons with Stephen Merchant and Carl Pilkington but I find him irritating now. Like Coogan, for me he gives off an air of laugh at me because aren’t I being clever. After my earlier confusion over which Russell I don’t find funny I have now come to the conclusion that all of the current Russell comedians do not make me laugh. Viv Reeves not funny. Bob Mortimer funny. Mrs Brown’s Boys has taken dumbing down to a whole new level. Jim Carey. Chat show hosts - they used to be there to make the guests look good, now it is all about them and they get given the best gags.
  8. Yes. So I signed in and responded to his post. You can read posts but you can’t post if you are not signed in. Make sense now? And as I have pointed out before, if you have someone on ignore you still see their posts when they are quoted by someone else. Like Turkish, you just seem to enjoy creating an issue where there isn’t one. If I had zero restraint posting responses to people on my ignore list, by your argument I would always respond to them. Clearly I don’t so not for the first time Weston my old mate, you are talking rubbish. Turkish will be happy that you are sucking up to him though so I guess, for you, it has some benefits 😘
  9. Come on Delldays/Batman, your cover was blown not long after you rejoined. You even managed to slip back into the idiosyncratic Batman posting style at one point. You make Boris Johnson look like an accomplished liar 🤥
  10. It was he who suggested that he had met me (despite not being able to tell me where and when). Lying hypocrite? It hurts when you are exposed as a narcissist doesn’t it Turkish? I haven’t forgotten that you are on my ignore list. Sadly though if you come onto the forum without signing in the ignore function doesn’t work and I walked straight into your full blown WUMmery again.
  11. Why feel the need to get involved in something that doesn’t involve you, yet again? Strangely enough, it isn’t all about you. No playing a victim, no crying, just responding to another poster about a post he made in response to mine. So unlike you to completely miss the point when trying to have a dig at them 🙄 Plenty of posters refer to Batman’s previous vocation but you don’t feel the need to butt in then, so why now? Batman has survived being banned from this site twice, do you really think he isn’t able to look after himself? As for lack of provocation, not so long ago on another thread Batman pretended that he had met me before and made a derogatory comment about me. Given the way you follow people who slight you around the internet trying to get your own back, I am surprised that suddenly you become precious about it. I can only imagine you are feeling solidarity with a fellow poster who has been banned from an Internet forum 😉
  12. That is how it works. Russia will invade at a time that suits the Western audience. I was responding to your quote above and threw in a breakfast reference from earlier in the thread but it all seems to have gone over your head so forget it.
  13. Ah, my mistake Jaime/Brett. I thought you were making a sarcastic comment about Russia’s timing of the invasion and it being telegraphed to the rest of the world beforehand. I didn’t realise you were being serious. You clearly have more knowledge about these things than I do, it’s is just that if you want to launch a successful invasion it seems to me that an element of surprise is helpful, you know, like D Day. Surely arranging a full scale invasion of another country to coincide with it catching the major news services in the west can only give the defending forces a heads up? Or doesn't it work like that anymore?
  14. Did you used to serve up breakfast at 3pm sometimes just to keep the submariners guessing?
  15. How do you manage to come to that conclusion Delldays/Batman when much of the criticism of this Government is levelled at its constant inability to deal with ineptitude from the level of PM downwards? Her resignation was hastened by a left leaning a mayor and yet the only uproar as far as I can see came from Priti Patel herself - probably because she realised how ineffectual that made her look.
  16. Perhaps you should address that remark to Priti Patel? Instead the Home Secretary actually extended her contract.
  17. Hi Minsk. I have just caught up with this thread and am so sorry to hear your desperately sad news. With deepest sympathy to you, your family and loved ones. Saints fan forever x Edit i read this thread disjointedly and hadn’t realised that Minsk had sadly passed by the time I had posted this. If his daughter is still reading this, deepest condolences to you and your family for your loss. As many have said, Minsk was one of the posters who gave this forum a proper value and he and his contributions will be sadly missed. RIP Minsk.
  18. How many times did we play the ball backwards and sideways in the build up to Che’s goal against Spurs? Also one thing you can say about Redmond is that he does put in a shift defensively. And how many assists does he have this season?
  19. Good to read a thoughtful, well balanced piece about this. https://amp.theguardian.com/uk-news/2022/feb/11/cressida-dick-could-not-solve-the-mets-problems-she-could-barely-admit-they-existed
  20. Even a stopped clock is right twice a day. Despite that, Khan did the right thing. It’s a shame that lack of confidence in the current PM doesn’t have the same end result. As for the Met Police, as pointed out in Question Time tonight, the problems in the Met go deeper than Cressida Dick’s leadership.
  21. Driving home this afternoon listening to TalkSport and a guy from Paddy Power said that Spuds were 4/7 and virtually just had to turn up to win 😂😂😂😂🤪
  22. I’m surprised that our resident Tory Bot, Delldays/Batman/Alex, isn’t on that list, perhaps on another page?
  23. Thankfully neither do you (of the players too) Delldays/Batman. Still think Pelle was rubbish?
  24. Johnson knew exactly what he was doing when he initially accused Starmer of personally being responsible for the non prosecution of Savile. Mud sticks and that is exactly what has happened. A move straight out of the Trump Book of Slurring Opponents. Some Tory MPs have the decency to see it and call it out for what it is, but it is sickening to see his brown nosers still saying that there is no need to apologise as he has ‘clarified’ his remarks. To also say that yesterdays attack by a mob had nothing to do with Johnson’s remarks is absolute tosh. Why would they suddenly start referencing Savile when it has not been a major current issue until Johnson made it so? It is deflection if the highest order. To borrow a very apt quote “it comes to something when the most embarrassing PM of our time isn’t the one who has fucked a pig”.
  25. You lot? 🙄 It really isn’t difficult. In an ideal world 1) he would have resigned by now or 2) he would be kicked out by his own party. In the event of neither of these things happening it is not the end of the world as his continuing tenure in no 10 will cost the Tories votes and, with any luck, the next election. Once again your attempt to turn an issue into something it isn’t fails miserably.
