  1. It was he who suggested that he had met me (despite not being able to tell me where and when). Lying hypocrite? It hurts when you are exposed as a narcissist doesn’t it Turkish? I haven’t forgotten that you are on my ignore list. Sadly though if you come onto the forum without signing in the ignore function doesn’t work and I walked straight into your full blown WUMmery again.
  2. Why feel the need to get involved in something that doesn’t involve you, yet again? Strangely enough, it isn’t all about you. No playing a victim, no crying, just responding to another poster about a post he made in response to mine. So unlike you to completely miss the point when trying to have a dig at them 🙄 Plenty of posters refer to Batman’s previous vocation but you don’t feel the need to butt in then, so why now? Batman has survived being banned from this site twice, do you really think he isn’t able to look after himself? As for lack of provocation, not so long ago on another thread Batman pretended that he had met me before and made a derogatory comment about me. Given the way you follow people who slight you around the internet trying to get your own back, I am surprised that suddenly you become precious about it. I can only imagine you are feeling solidarity with a fellow poster who has been banned from an Internet forum 😉
  3. That is how it works. Russia will invade at a time that suits the Western audience. I was responding to your quote above and threw in a breakfast reference from earlier in the thread but it all seems to have gone over your head so forget it.
  4. Ah, my mistake Jaime/Brett. I thought you were making a sarcastic comment about Russia’s timing of the invasion and it being telegraphed to the rest of the world beforehand. I didn’t realise you were being serious. You clearly have more knowledge about these things than I do, it’s is just that if you want to launch a successful invasion it seems to me that an element of surprise is helpful, you know, like D Day. Surely arranging a full scale invasion of another country to coincide with it catching the major news services in the west can only give the defending forces a heads up? Or doesn't it work like that anymore?
  5. Did you used to serve up breakfast at 3pm sometimes just to keep the submariners guessing?
  6. How do you manage to come to that conclusion Delldays/Batman when much of the criticism of this Government is levelled at its constant inability to deal with ineptitude from the level of PM downwards? Her resignation was hastened by a left leaning a mayor and yet the only uproar as far as I can see came from Priti Patel herself - probably because she realised how ineffectual that made her look.
  7. Perhaps you should address that remark to Priti Patel? Instead the Home Secretary actually extended her contract.
  8. Hi Minsk. I have just caught up with this thread and am so sorry to hear your desperately sad news. With deepest sympathy to you, your family and loved ones. Saints fan forever x Edit i read this thread disjointedly and hadn’t realised that Minsk had sadly passed by the time I had posted this. If his daughter is still reading this, deepest condolences to you and your family for your loss. As many have said, Minsk was one of the posters who gave this forum a proper value and he and his contributions will be sadly missed. RIP Minsk.
  9. How many times did we play the ball backwards and sideways in the build up to Che’s goal against Spurs? Also one thing you can say about Redmond is that he does put in a shift defensively. And how many assists does he have this season?
  10. Good to read a thoughtful, well balanced piece about this. https://amp.theguardian.com/uk-news/2022/feb/11/cressida-dick-could-not-solve-the-mets-problems-she-could-barely-admit-they-existed
  11. Even a stopped clock is right twice a day. Despite that, Khan did the right thing. It’s a shame that lack of confidence in the current PM doesn’t have the same end result. As for the Met Police, as pointed out in Question Time tonight, the problems in the Met go deeper than Cressida Dick’s leadership.
  12. Driving home this afternoon listening to TalkSport and a guy from Paddy Power said that Spuds were 4/7 and virtually just had to turn up to win 😂😂😂😂🤪
  13. I’m surprised that our resident Tory Bot, Delldays/Batman/Alex, isn’t on that list, perhaps on another page?
  14. Thankfully neither do you (of the players too) Delldays/Batman. Still think Pelle was rubbish?
  15. Johnson knew exactly what he was doing when he initially accused Starmer of personally being responsible for the non prosecution of Savile. Mud sticks and that is exactly what has happened. A move straight out of the Trump Book of Slurring Opponents. Some Tory MPs have the decency to see it and call it out for what it is, but it is sickening to see his brown nosers still saying that there is no need to apologise as he has ‘clarified’ his remarks. To also say that yesterdays attack by a mob had nothing to do with Johnson’s remarks is absolute tosh. Why would they suddenly start referencing Savile when it has not been a major current issue until Johnson made it so? It is deflection if the highest order. To borrow a very apt quote “it comes to something when the most embarrassing PM of our time isn’t the one who has fucked a pig”.
  16. You lot? 🙄 It really isn’t difficult. In an ideal world 1) he would have resigned by now or 2) he would be kicked out by his own party. In the event of neither of these things happening it is not the end of the world as his continuing tenure in no 10 will cost the Tories votes and, with any luck, the next election. Once again your attempt to turn an issue into something it isn’t fails miserably.
  17. Don’t hold back Max, tell us what you really think! Sums Johnson up perfectly though. At what point though will enough Tories grow a backbone and kick him out? If they can’t see that he is a liability for the country (and for their own seats come the next election) by now, God help us.
  18. He was Johnson’s boss at The Telegraph and in an article in 2019 had nothing good to say about him and said he would make a terrible PM. He was spot on. He was sacked for making up a story at The Times. He was a shit journalist who made up a load of bs stories about the EU.
  19. Home tie, tick. Avoided a potential banana skin, tick. Not unhappy with this draw and will be delighted if we can knock WH out of the cup.
  20. What has that got to do with players getting injured?
  21. Players can get injured at any time in any game, even in training. Ridiculous to blame the manager.
  22. She was probably the only one not to go to a party (who wants tea when you have suitcases full of wine?)
  23. Wasn’t he on the open market before? 😉 My bro who is a Fulham supporter says that they were arguing about the loan back and when Liverpool finally agreed to it it was too late to get the paperwork through. Why on earth would you leave something so late? Apparently they had been interested in him for a while so it is odd that they didn’t tie up the deal earlier. Still expected to go there in the summer though. Looks like a quality player, shame we didn’t pick him up last season if the rumours that we were interested in him were true. Liverpool seem to have leant their lesson though, cut out the middle man and save yourselves a fortune by buying early.
  24. Why on earth is it going to take up to a year to conclude their investigations by the Met? Sue Gray has done most of the work for them. It’s hardly a murder investigation. Just mostly checking facts which shouldn’t take that long. They didn’t take a year to hand out fixed penalties to all the other who broke the lockdown laws. As for yesterday, if that wasn’t enough to finally bury this imbecile, what is? He has moved past being a national embarrassment and surely even the thickest gammons can see that the Tories are toast electorally if they keep him. Apart from making himself look even more inept, if yesterday did one thing it finally buried the bollocks some right wingers keep peddling about Starmer being responsible for not prosecuting Savile. What an indictment of our archaic system that someone gets thrown out of the chamber for calling out a liar who has just, for the umpteenth time, lied in the chamber (where lying to Parliament is supposed to be a resigning offence). Now we have the prospect of Johnson and Truss dealing with Putin over the Ukraine situation. Dear God. I am not sure what is worse, waking up again to see this lying charlatan still lording it up as PM, the pathetic enablers they wheel out to support him still or the vox pop interviewees they manage to find who still support him. If this is what Britain post Brexit has become, it can f**k right off.
  25. And that is because I assume that the club feel happy at the moment that we have a squad that can compete against the likes of Newcastle. The result is the issue here. We now have the prospect of facing a stronger side and therefore a lesser chance of winning. If we had played them at the time they would have had a much weaker squad and we would have had a greater chance of winning. Once the game was called off we were always going to have a tougher match anyway as they would have a fully fit squad again (probably). We would have done exactly the same as Newcastle had the circumstances been reversed would we not? If not it would have been pretty foolish not to. If the guidelines had been different when we played United you can bet you life the club would have tried to get the game called off. The fact that a transfer window has opened in the meantime is coincidental. The game could well have been rearranged before Newcastle brought any new players in. Having said all of that, aren’t the EPL looking into the situation? Yes, they should have done so before the window opened and made the situation clear, but isn’t it still possible that they will say that newly transferred players will not be eligible for these rearranged games?
