Weren’t Everton in the same position recently?

Don’t know for sure, but there must be some kind of building regs that govern leg room? I am 6ft tall so not huge, but have always had trouble with stadium seating and leg room on planes. I don’t know if they go for an average leg room?

Terrorist Attacks - WARNING: CONTAINS DISTRESSING IMAGES

Which is what it all comes down to. We have never been and never will be a peaceful species that can cohabit without doing dreadful things to each other, no matter what label is put on a particular tribe. The only upside is that we are constantly trying to find ways to finish ourselves off before the sun burns itself out and will probably succeed. Happy days. -
I’ll retract my comments about his wife having just seen several of the newspapers front pages.
-
Not for the first time Whelk, you completely deliberately miss the point. In the air time he has been given it is pretty much all about him and his anguish. There is a person who has loved and supported him for nearly 30 years who is also involved. Don’t let that stop you making fatuous remarks though. If you could at least try and make them funny, that would be something.

Lots of stuff on the news feeds about how much support Schofield is getting. No mention of the support for his wife who needs it just as much as he does.

Where in any history books does it say we were at war with the Nazis? They were a political party. We were at war with Germany. If we were at war with the political party members it would have been over in days. -

Good Omens - gets better every episode. Excellent stuff!

The BBC have found another unfunny comedy. King Gary. Not a laugh in site. Or perhaps I have just lost my sense of humour.

Ralph has been at the club long enough to know how the Board operates. He doesn’t seem the sort of manager who needs a massive transfer budget to work with but I guess we will find out soon enough where his head is at.

It made the national news earlier. It shared air time with a pandemic which has killed 600 people and is spreading across the planet. Good to see we have things in perspective.

Care to explain? I’ll say it again if you like. Terrorist activities are abhorrent and the people who commit them should be given life sentences. I really don’t think I can be clearer than that. -

Ah, this old chestnut. Perhaps we can put it to bed once and for all? I have recently seen some stats that show 100% that Germany was a Christian country when we went to war. In 1933 approx 54% of Germans were Protestant, 40% Catholic and less than 1% Jewish. In 1939 after the annexation of Austria and when war broke out 67% were Protestant and 33% Catholic. You can’t be much more Christian than that. -

Once again, where have I not condemned the actions of extremists, no matter where they are from or what religion they are from? -

The circular arguments go on and on. The bottom line is that you are more likely to be murdered by someone who is not an Islamic extremist but there is less outrage about us killing each other than being killed by Muslims. There is less outrage about our clergy abusing children than there is about Muslims doing the same. There are a number of sick f***ers out there doing sick things and blaming one religious doctrine ignores the real problem - human beings always have and always will kill, maim and rape other human beings regardless of nationality or religion. -
Did the article say that?

What has that got to do with it? You are not exactly on safe ground given Trump’s alleged sexual indiscretions. I know we have different political opinions, but when you defend Trump you really make yourself look foolish. There should have been a proper trial and if Donald was as innocent as he says he is, he could have cleared his name and taken the moral high ground. Even though he has not been found innocent and has been cleared thanks to the votes of his own partisan party, he still has the brass neck to pretend that he has been found innocent.

More than “lots” don’t kill their children thank goodness! Re your point about blood transfusions. I used to know a family of ex Jehovah’s Witnesses. Very nice people but they were adamant that they would refuse a blood transfusion even if it were a matter of life or death. Madness. -
My wife’s first mother in law left her husband for another woman when she was in her 60’s. They were a travelling family and he is a proper “bloke.” He took it well though, considering it must be awful enough to lose your wife to another man yet alone a woman. Still, apparently he is with another woman now and doing well. My wife keeps in touch with her ex mother in law and she is still happy with her partner. All’s well that ends well I guess.

Maybe I have been unkind to him. If celebs coming out make it easier for others to accept their own sexuality then that’s a good thing. Looking forward to the day when people can be comfortable with their own sexuality without worrying how society will judge them.

As alluded to by Whelk, I don’t think it came as a major shock to the general public. I don’t understand why someone would feel the need to use their media platform to announce it to the world. The only people he needed to confide in are those close to him. If I was cynical I would think that he has done this now to deflect from the amount of negative press he has been getting recently over being an ar5e to work with. It’s a shame that we still haven’t moved on enough for him to feel that he has to make a public announcement about his sexuality. Or perhaps this says more about him and his ego than it does about society? We need to get a few gay footballers to come out and perhaps that will be the end of the issues and we can all go back to worrying about life after Brexit.
