  1. Romeu has been good. We were happy with him when he first joined us. Wanyama used to come in for a lot of stick at times.
  2. To paraphrase Pete Townsend. Meet the new swamp, same as the old swamp.
  3. Apart from the fact that her weight has nothing to do with anything, she has been called far worse things than just fat.
  4. Ralph looks like he has lost faith in his ability to get through to the players. It doesn’t look good.
  5. Business person doesn’t want to give money away shock horror. The personal abuse on here is appalling. How do you think her father would feel about it? We are all frustrated about the state of the team at the moment but name calling isn’t going to change anything. As for her business dealings and motivations, I always find it amazing how much people think they know when in reality they don’t have a clue.
  6. Sheffield United are currently 5th. Something to think about.
  7. Remembering when we last won at home.
  8. Apparently Katie Hopkins has said that if Labour win she will leave Britain. That has to be worth voting for Labour alone.
  9. I made a small mistake in posting some information on the wrong thread. You made a massive mistake in voting Boris Johnson in as PM. I think out of the two, history will be kinder to me.
  10. And we all know what the Tories think about the law and about the truth. Just ignore it when it doesn’t fit the agenda.
  11. Probably not such a small thing... Ex boyfriend stabs 17 girlfriend in the neck and tries to make her death look like suicide. Parents find daughter on the floor with the knife sticking out of her neck. He gets a minimum of 12 years 6 months for the murder. Taxi driver kills ex partner and mother of 5. Disposes of her body and it still hasn’t been found. Sentenced to a minimum of 27 years for murder. Where is the consistency? The parents of the 17 year old are rightly very unhappy at the sentence given to the murderer of their daughter.
  12. Wes, we both know that the whole proroguing thing was a total scam and as for Boris lying to the Queen, a few hundred years ago his head would be on a spike on London Bridge. Bercow was not the problem. Johnson was/is.
  13. We have spent money, but badly. Which is why we have less to spend now until we gets some money back in transfer fees.
  14. Funnily enough a lot of people think it is a price worth paying. You clearly don’t but are happy for us to spend a fortune on nuclear weapons that we will never use. I know where I would rather the money was spent.
  15. It isn’t just us.
  16. Maybe not at the moment. It doesn’t mean that they won’t change in the future.
  17. If what you say is true nothing would ever change. Do you ever go into supermarkets? Have you noticed anything different regarding the use of carrier bags? Things are already changing even if you can’t see it.
  18. He is entitled to an opinion and even if he is in favour of remaining, it doesn’t mean that the sticker wasn’t on his wife’s car. Why lie about Corbyn? The trouble is Wes, you have supported the biggest serial liar in Parliament so feel the need to tar everyone else with the same brush. As for Bercow, a lot of people without agendas say he did a lot of good for the backbenchers on both sides of the House. Of course he is never going to be a favourite of the rabid Brexiteers, but good for him that he hasn’t allowed Johnson to bully his way through Brexit by ignoring Parliament.
  19. Perhaps she should champion them having the vote because they are the future of our country, not because they could die for their country.
  20. As I said, change has to start somewhere and we are not going to influence others if we don’t make changes ourselves. Mighty oaks from small acorns grow.
  21. Argh! Wrong thread!
  22. Sorry. 6th December.
  23. There will be a live tv debated on the BBC between Johnson and Corbyn in Southampton on 9th December. Once again the LibDems have been excluded.
  24. Hopefully, if people vote tactically, we can get him out.
  25. A few years ago the main parties were all fighting for the middle ground leaving those with harder views bitter and disaffected. Now Labour and the Tories are shifting left and right respectively leaving the moderates bitter and disaffected. The only constant is that the LibDems, who should have been hoovering up votes throughout have managed to become marginalised in both periods. Even with a strong USP in that they have firmly nailed their colours to the Remain mast, they seem to have become marginalised by the noise surrounding the two main parties. For those turned off by Johnson and Corbyn the alternatives are not overly attractive. It will be interesting to see how the Brexit issue shapes Parliament for the next five years although, if we do end up with a hung Parliament, we could be going through this yet again in the next year or two. What ever your allegiance, politics in this country is in a mess and looks like it will be for some time. Meanwhile, Ian Austin, who left the Labour Party in February, has now become a Godsend to the Tories. The story now isn’t about Rees-Mogg’s appalling insensitivity or Johnson not understanding the details of his own Brexit deal, it is all about a rehash of a disaffected politician (and you have to wonder how much of a Labour man he ever was if he is now saying vote Tory). I read a magazine article yesterday featuring an interview with John Bercow. The Tory MP and former Speaker of the House says that he doesn’t believe that Jeremy Corbyn is anti-Semitic. Not that you will see that printed in any of the right wing press.
